The property

Nestled between peaceful countryside surroundings and resting in the delightful village of East Stoke, lies Lulworth Retreat, a wonderful holiday home offering a welcoming sanctuary for four guests, and not far away from the pretty riverside town of Wareham.

This tucked away accommodation provides a relaxing retreat for a family or group of friends looking for a staycation close to the spectacular Jurassic Coast with a private decking area, as well as three acres of shared lawned garden where your four-legged companion can run off energy whilst the children busy themselves playing with the play equipment such as football nets, basketball hoops and table tennis.

Stepping inside the property, be welcomed into the spacious living/dining room where you can relax and unwind in front of the TV for a family film night, before enjoying a delicious meal made within the well-equipped kitchen by the designated chef of the group which can be enjoyed at the dinner table or outside in the warmer months whilst you chat and plan you holiday itinerary.

Withdraw upstairs to find two well-presented bedrooms, comprising of one family room with a double bed and two sets of bunk beds, complete with an en-suite shower room with walk-in shower, basin and WC, and a further double bedroom served by a further bathroom with bath, overhead shower, basin and WC.

The nearby village of Wool is just over a mile away and is home to local shops and convenience stores where you pick up your daily essentials such as milk, bread and eggs and there is also a choice of pubs serving home-cooked meals and real Dorset Ales.

Grab a picnic and visit Durdle Door and discover one of Dorset's most famous landmarks, the 200-foot natural arch emerging from the sea, and be rewarded with wonderful walks, beautifully clear waters and of course unrivalled scenery to take in.

Embark on a clifftop walk from here to Lulworth Cove, just under 2 miles, to find a white pebbled beach with low tides that draw back and reveal wonderful rock pools teeming with sea creatures – a delight for children to explore, and the magnificent Lulworth Castle is like a picture from a fairy tale and dates backs to the 17th Century, steeped in marvellous history and offering the most stunning grounds.

However you spend your time holidaying with your loved ones in this pretty village, Lulworth Retreat is a wonderful base to return to after spending the day exploring all things Dorset.

Wool is a small Dorset village with It’s own railways station and Jurassic Coast bus (X54) linking Poole and Weymouth. The River Frome runs through the village and has famous connections as the 17th Century Woolbridge manor where ‘Tess of the D’Ubervilles’ spent her honeymoon her honeymoon in the Thomas Hardy’s novel. Thomas Hardy’s Cottage can be found just outside Dorchester around 12 miles from Wool and offers an interesting day out. Some of Purbeck’s most loved attractions are also on the doorstep of Wool, with the Tank Museum, Clouds Hill, the home of Lawrence of Arabia and Monkey World rescue centre. A short 5 mile drive will see you in West Lulworth where you can enjoy the spectacular geological sites of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. Wool offers everything you need for a rural retreat in Dorset.
