We’re excited to announce the Dream Cottages & Lyme Bay Holidays Photo Competition is running for 2025, and entries are now open!
The competition runs from 2nd January to 1st March 2025, giving you plenty of time to showcase your best Dorset and East Devon photos. With 11 exciting categories (listed below) to choose from, there’s something for everyone! One talented winner will take home a £250 retail voucher.
Entering is simple! Here’s everything you need to know
- Email your photo to: southmarketing@sykescottages.co.uk
- Attach your image
- Include the following details:
- Your name
- Your address
- The location of where the image was taken

If you have any photos that fit these themes, send them in for a chance to WIN a £250 voucher!
Our judging panel will shortlist the top three images, which will then go to a public vote. The photo with the most votes will win the £250 voucher.

Terms and Conditions
Terms & Conditions – Photo Competition 2025
The Dream Cottages & Lyme Bay Holidays Photo Competition. By submitting your entry, you agree to the terms set out below.
- Eligibility:
- All entrants must be over 18 years of age, and proof of age may be required before any prizes are distributed.
- Submission Guidelines:
- All photos must be submitted in a high-resolution format and sent to southmarketing@sykescottages.co.uk
- Entries submitted via social media must also be followed up with the high-res image emailed to the above address.
- If your photo includes people, you must have their permission. If anyone in the photo is under 18, you must have the consent of their parent or guardian.
- Usage Rights:
- By submitting your entry, you are giving Dream Cottages and Lyme Bay Holidays permission to use your images for sales and marketing purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, use on social media, websites, printed materials (e.g., leaflets), and press releases. Where possible, we will credit the photographer.
- Entry Requirements:
- Entrants must provide their full name, address, a contact telephone number, a high-res image, and a description of where the photo was taken.
- Photos must be original and taken by the entrant. Submissions on behalf of someone else are not allowed.
- Judging and Prizes:
- Dream Cottages and Lyme Bay Holidays will judge all entries and announce one winner by email. There will also be one overall winner.
- At least five entries per category must be received for the competition to run.
- Entrants may submit photos for as many categories as they like but can only win once.
- The winner will receive a £250 voucher for a retailer of their choice from Voucher Express. A full list of retailers can be found at .
- The prize is subject to availability and confirmation.
- The decision of Dream Cottages and Lyme Bay Holidays is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Calendar Usage:
- At the end of the competition, the winning photos (12 in total) will be featured in the 2026 Dream Cottages & Lyme Bay Holidays calendar. By entering, you permit your photo to be included.
- Right to Amend:
- Dream Cottages and Lyme Bay Holidays reserve the right to amend or withdraw this competition at any point without prior notice.
- Data Protection & Privacy:
- We will hold and retain your personal data in accordance with our privacy policy, which can be found at .
- If you have given us consent to send you marketing materials, you can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the relevant link in an email, calling us, or emailing dpo@sykescottages.co.uk.
