Christmas in Dorset is truly magical. Wander twinkling market stalls adorned with trinkets and homemade gifts. Warm your hands on a glass of gluhwein or a mug of hot chocolate whilst listening to local musicians. With the Jurassic Coast as a backdrop, Dorset has all sorts of unique events happening throughout the county during this wonderful festive season.
30th November – 1st December, 12pm – 5pm in Hope Square, just outside the Dream Cottages office. Browse stalls full of produce from local traders at this pop up market with special guest, Santa.
30th November – 1st December 12pm – 4pm with Christmas Lights Switch on at 5pm.
8th December at 5pm in Hope Square. This is a special remembrance service with carols. Dream Cottages will be serving mulled wine and mince pies from outside of the office during the event.
14th -15th December, 10am – 4pm at the Palm House, Swannery Lake. This event is back and bigger than ever with hot food, stalls, miniature steam train, entertainment, stalls, Santa and Victorian Gin Bar.
5th December from 5.30pm. Dorchester’s highstreet is open for late night shopping, entertainment, food and drink stalls plus other delights.
5th December from 4pm. Bridport’s highstreet is open for late night shopping with over 30 food and drink stalls, and 70 craft and gift stalls.
7th December from 4pm. Swange highstreet will be filled with the finest stalls and Santa will also be paying a visit on his sleigh!
From the 15th November Bournemouth will be hosting it’s annual Christmas Markets, Santa’s Grotto, Tree Illuminations and Ice Skating across Bournemouth Lower Gardens.
