We think we are particularly good at celebrating all the seasons, but with many Easter events in Dorset we think it’s a special time for families.
On 31st March we will enter British Summer Time and with a generous amount of Easter holiday time, you just have to make the most of it.
With lambs hopping around the fields, the daffodils and bluebells in full bloom, and the weather turning milder, it’s the perfect time to celebrate spring and get away with your loved ones.

Join the Annual Easter Bunny Egg Hunt at Bennetts Water Gardens. There will be a special trail to complete and Easter colouring competition to win some delicious prizes. Normal admission prices apply.
Between 30th March – 16th April, you can follow a trail of clues around Weymouth town to find ‘Jurassic Dino Eggs’. Solve a riddle to discover where a very rare ‘T-Rex Egg’ has been hidden.
Join the annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Brewery Square – simply look for eggs hidden around for a prize! Meet popular children’s TV entertainer Andy Day who will be performing on the 31st March.
Join an egg hunt with a difference! Find out what does a mermaid keep in her purse by hunting for empty egg capsules on the beach. Sweet prizes guaranteed! Be aware that late-comers won’t be accepted for health and safety reasons. The event includes walking over wet, uneven and slippery rocks, so children must be supervised at all times. Price £2.50 per person.
Meet the PJ Masks’ Catboy and Luna Girl – the crime-fighting superheroes. All Easter bank holiday weekend take on an Easter egg hunt in the giant hedge maze, egg and spoon race and other outside attractions. Book tickets on Adventure Wonderland website.
Head back ‘down the rabbit hole’ for some amazing Easter family fun at Lulworth Castle over the Easter holiday weekend. Expect Easter hunts, crafts, bouncy castle, white rabbits and Easter eggs! Tickets available online or on the day and include free parking.
Every year National Trust invites Cadbury for an Easter Egg Hunt. You will have to follow the clues to get some chocolatey prizes! The hunt will take place around the Woodland Walk between 10am – 4pm, 6th – 22nd April 2019. Booking not essential.
Explore the fantastic coastline and the woodlands of Studland. Follow a family trail from the Discovery centre around Knoll beach and hunt for different animals to get a special Easter treat.
Find chocolate eggs hidden by Fluffy Easter bunny out in the field, the hunt will start around 2.30pm over the holiday weekend. Farmer Palmer’s even prepared a special daily timetable for you to meet all the baby animals and their parents!
Monkey World will be open over the Easter holiday weekend. Free Easter Eggs for the first 100 children visiting over Easter.

Enjoy the biggest day in The Tank Museum’s history! Watch the tanks roll into action, children can dress up, follow trails and tours or play in the special outdoor area.
