Easter Holidays at Bennetts Water Gardens, Chickerell

Open from 31st March – Chickerell (10am-4pm)

Take a beautiful walk around the Bennetts Water Gardens and enjoy of 8 acres of picturesque gardens. Opening seasonally, Easter is usually one of the first weekends of the year people can explore these gardens.

Head out with the family and enjoy a peaceful walk discovering a collection of UK plants. Also, the little ones can take part in an Easter egg hunt in Dorset on Monday 1st – Thursday 11th April

Note: The Gardens aim to make much of the site wheelchair friendly. However, after periods of wet weather, the gardens may be closed to wheelchair users.


Swannery Easter Brambly Hedge Trail

29th March – 16th April – Abbotsbury

Spring is a splendid time of the year to visit Abbotsbury Swannery. During this season, the swans will be preoccupied laying their eggs, which you can learn about on your exploration.

Follow the Brambly Hedge Trail for a calming stroll in nature and bring along your camera to capture the memories.


Easter adventures at Corfe Castle

29th March – 1st April – Corfe Castle

Looking for fun for the whole family? Immerse yourself in the past at the ruins of Corfe Castle this Easter. Embark on an adventure to find the dragons lost possessions and take part in engaging activities.

With nature-inspired games and a trail that leads through the beautiful castle, this Easter event makes a memorable day out. For £3 per trail you an a trail sheet, bunny ears and a chocolate egg.


Easter Egg Hunt at Kingston Lacy

28th March – 14th April – Spring Woodlands

Running between 10am and 3pm, the Easter Festival Fields at Kingston Lacy are offering two weeks of Easter activities in Dorset.

On arrival, each child will be given an activity pack that will guide you along the trail. There are fun nature inspired activities for the children to get involved with. Children will receive an Easter egg reward at the end of the trail for their hard work.


Easter Activities at Studland

29th March – 11th April – Knoll Beach

Treat the kids to an immersive walk along Knoll Beach on their Easter trail. The trail weaves along the beach and the sand dunes between 10am and 3pm. Each child gets a map, a pencil and is rewarded with a delicious chocolate egg at the end of the trail. This Easter activity in Dorset is a great way to learn more about Studland Bay’s rich history and heritage.


Meet baby animals over Easter holiday at Farmer Palmer’s

29th March – 11th April – Farmer Palmers

Treat yourself to a wonderful day out with the family at Farmer Palmers. You can enjoy egg hunts, tractor rides and get up close to the baby animals from the farm. Across the Easter bank holiday weekend, there will be hundreds of chocolate eggs hidden around the site for the children to find. It really is a great thing to do in Dorset this Easter!

Easter Holiday in The Tank Museum, Bovington

29th March – 14th April

If you’re looking for something a little different at Easter, The Tank Museum at Bovington might be a good choice for you. See an impressive collection of over 300 tanks and learn about the history of their uses.

On display you can enjoy kids’ activities as well as live displays of these tanks in action. It is a perfect chance to get up close and personal to these enormous vehicles.


Lyme Regis Easter Bonnet Parade

Sunday 31st March – Lyme Regis Baptist Church

If you want to see a collection of creative hand made hats, the Lyme Regis Easter Bonnet Parade is a fantastic day out. But you don’t just have to watch. Why not get involved? The event is open to all ages and there are prizes for the most imaginative creations.

Starting at 3pm, the parade is led by the mayor of Lyme Regis. And all the money raised throughout the day goes towards some local good causes.
