My wife and I stayed here for a week at the beginning of September '20.
The flat had absolutely everything we needed for a relaxing week in Dorset; the kitchen was well appointed, the bed was comfy, the shower was lovely and the lounge space was perfect for our needs. The flat was well maintained and very clean (especially important during the CV19 pandemic).
From the flat we walked to Portland Bill lighthouse and cafe along the coastal path and back via the Olympic Rings stone sculpture. Warning - the first 200m of the walk is quite steep so take your time. But once on top of the cliffs and onto the coast path the views over Chesil beach and back to Weymouth were stunning.
A very short walk from the flat is the bus stop which allowed us to easily travel to and from Weymouth.
As for food and drink in the vicinity, we found the food and drink at Quiddles cafe on the seafront was fantastic. The Cove House Inn was bit disappointing as the service wasn't great - maybe we were unlucky as people we spoke to said it's normally a good pub to visit. The Royal Portland Arms won't be for everyone but I found the ale was well kept. We had food from Ocean Bay Chinese takeaway which was nice. The Co-Op in Fortuneswell was well stocked but for bigger shops we used the larger Lidl store.
