A lovely clean cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Having visited on a very hot May bank holiday weekend we were so grateful for the fans. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners Sue & Andy who sent us a welcome email and were available to answer any questions. The views from the house were stunning, the neighbours were so friendly helped by having our dog who they couldn’t resist. We had some lovely walks in the early morning to miss the heat later on. Lovely drinks in the evening and a farewell breakfast at Quiddles. Owner Sophie and her team just couldn’t do enough for us, so friendly and attentive. Highly recommended visiting them. Especially as they serve drinks until the sunsets which was so lovely . Great atmosphere on Chesil beach with people having picnics and bbqs to see the sun set. We took advantage of that and made ourselves a picnic on Monday night. The coop just up the hill and around the corner that is fully stocked. We had fish and chips from salty towers which were amazing. Covehouse inn and chesil chippie were closed over the bank holiday which was a shame. Thanks for the lovely welcome packs for us and our dog such a lovely gesture and we Will definitely be back.

The cottage has everything you need. Its like going from to home to home. Perfect.

We loved the cottage, it was perfect in every way!

It had everything we needed and more! We had no issues with parking at all.

We had a delightful stay at your cottage.

The views were second to none. I would highly recommend staying at this property, with the luxury of an open fire to keep you warm in the winter months and the very welcoming feel. The only thing I would point out is having a smaller car may benefit the small parking area that is available.

Information from owners about where to park was really helpful though we were lucky to be able to park outside. Be warned the space to turn round is limited if you have a large car. Views from cottage are amazing and it's a 5 min walk to the seafront. The restaurant on the promenade (Cove House) serves fantastic food. Cottage itself is very cosy, beds are comfy and spending evenings in front of the fire was a real treat. We had to rewash a couple of the plates and cutlery when we got there as still had small bits of food on them..but that was the only (very minor) issue. We took our dog and plenty of dog walks without travelling too far. We had a lovely stay and will be back.

My wife and I both really enjoyed this lovely cottage in Portland, it was well equipped, it had everything we needed.

It’s a very quiet place to stay.There are a couple of nice pubs, a coop and 2 chip shops. Watching the sunset was amazing outside sat on the bench, or for a better view a 2 minute walk to the cove inn and watch the sun disappear into the sea. Portland has some great walks, the walk from Weymouth to lulworth cove is fantastic. We shall definitely return.

The cottage is like a home away from home.

It has everything you could need. The views are spectacular and the sunsets amazing. It’s close to the beach, pubs and local shop. We love it xx

Lovely cottage with a most beautiful view of Chesil beach.

Extremely well equipped as well and very comfortable. The parking was a bit of a challenge.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful house, it was so clean and smelt lovely as we walked in.

The property had everything you need and More which was really helpful especially having a young baby and a 7 year old with us. The property owners were very attentive with info . The king size bed was an absolute dream to sleep in I actually wish I had it at home haha, The views of chesil beach from the bedroom and top room were unreal and so beautiful. I have been going to Portland since I was a young girl and this was my first time staying at Langham cottage and will certainly Not be the last, I can’t wait to return.

The cottage is in a fabulous location, parking can be an issue but it has never effected us.

The cottage has everything you could need and more. Watching the sunsets from the bench out the front is a little piece of heaven! We love visiting the Lobster Pot at the Bill and walking around the Sculpture Park. I even managed to go swimming in the sea. Its Just a Fantastic cottage in an excellent location.

Parking outside or near to the property was a major problem.

The town was busy and it required a lot of driving round. You also have to take your account numbers for the tv and the dvd didn’t work. But a lovely cottage and beach

For the second year running, we immediately booked up for next year while still in the cottage.

Lovely cottage, lots to do, places to eat and the view from the cottage is amazing. Just perfect to relax, unwind and feel good. Miss it already! Portland is a wonderful island. We are not at all surprised about how the residents love it. It is a precious place.

A super holiday cottage with stunning views.

I have been renting holiday cottages from Dream Cottages for about 25 years and Langham Cottage is up there with the best. The only down side is the car parking , but all in all very good. Many thanks Graham.

We had a great week at Langham Cottage.

Lovely house, very comfortable and a great location. Nice sea views from the sitting room, front bedroom and attic room. Parking is limited outside the property but we found spaces available within a short walk.

A lovely well equipped cottage with fantastic sea views from every room at the front of the cottage the pictures do not do this cottage justice we did not expect to see the sea from the living room and bedroom!

But my goodness the bedroom views not just from the top floor but also the middle bedroom are amazing!

Lovely welcome gifts. Lots of extras made it home from home. Parking was tight and was entertaining watching people turn round, we were lucky we managed to get parked outside for the whole of our stay. Cove house inn lovely location for watching sunset, had 3 lovely meals their staff very friendly. Only downside felt Dream Cottages very unhelpful when wanted to change booking, booked with other companies previously and never had an issue!!

We absolutely loved this cottage.

It was in a great location. It was clean & tidy when we arrived and very well equipped. It felt so homely and we felt so comfortable there. Would definitely recommend this to others and if we plan to go to Weymouth again in the future would book this again.

Lovely cottage.

Family of four plus our four legged friend loved our week at Langham Cottage. Cottage had everything we needed and was in a great location on Portland.

The cottage is lovely, clean , well equipped and spacious.

Great views from the top room.The only issue was the parking, which we knew about before we booked but there was limited parking in the town as well.I would advise people to pre book restaurants as some were booked up for the whole week.Lots of lovely areas to visit and lots to see and do but we felt fortuneswell itself is a little run down with many shops closed .

Really very happy with the lovely cottage.

What was really good was it was really well stocked with the little things needed like dishwasher tablets and bin liners. A small thing that made a big difference. Really clean and with stair gates and tthe use of a high chair and travel cot was particularly helpful for our small family. This made our stay a really enjoyable experience. Thankyou x

the opposite of Weymouth!!The Cove Inn does terrific food,Squiggles Cafe and the coffee shop in the Marina just great.Recommend

Lovely cosy cottage.

Clean and tidy with everything you need. Home from home. Lovely to have a separate bath and shower. Would love to stay again one day.

Langham cottage is well appointed and very comfortable.

The lovely view over Chesil beach from both the lounge and the main bedroom is a joy - and the sound of the waves crashing on the beach on a windy day is memorable. The cottage is well positioned for local shopping (Coop), a beach front cafe (Quiddles - highly recommended for breakfast) and the local on-the-beachfront Cove Inn (an excellent menu). Who could want for more?

An absolute gem!

Spotlessly clean, very well equipped, thoughtfully kitted out. A lovely comfortable, home from home cottage. Amazing sunsets! Would definately stay again on future Dorset visits. Just to highlight, although not an issue for us as we were lucky with a parking space for the duration, but as advised, parking is difficult especially for elderly or for very young. The neighbours were very polite, and helpful with alternative parking. Highly recommended

Only problem was the parking.

We drove down when we got there and then had a big problem turning round. Parked elsewhere rest of the week, not always getting into the car park because it was full.

We very much enjoyed our second holiday at Langham Cottage.

Good location in Fortuneswell with superb views over Chesil beach towards Lyme Regis. Very comfortable modern furnishings and beds with every comfort for a delightful stay. Excellent kitchen facilities. We look forward to another visit before too long. Richard & Lynne

What a beautiful place, stunning views from the front windows.

Lovingly decorated and had everything you needed. Parking can be a bit tight and I managed to park to unload and for a few days but was also very easy to park opposite the church and walk up the alley. Would definitely recommend this property.

The house is an easy walk from the sea, and is quiet.

The view is superb. The owners are sensible people. The only problem is the car. If you visit in your four-track, you'll probably have to walk, but that is Portland and you don't need to carry much; the house has it all.

This is a spacious and comfortable cottage with a lovely view of Chesil Beach and beyond.

We have stayed here several times and come away rested and relaxed.

This is a regular trip in our calendar now. Love Portland and Langham Cottage is perfect with views over Chesil Beach.

Lovely cottage in good condition with attention to little extras that made the stay very pleasant.

Everything about the cottage was as we would have wished.

It was very clean (the bathroom and kitchen were sparkling!) and comfortable. Even though the weather was very chilly, we were snug and had everything we needed. It was perfectly situated for the sea view and glorious sunsets. We've stayed in many, many cottages over the years and this one was among the best.

Love it here. Always new things to explore. Can’t beat looking down Chesil Beach from front bedroom. A real home away from home.

Parking could be an issue at times but apart from that no other problems and the welcoming pack was a nice touch would definitely recommend.

Langham cottage is lovely and clean and of good proportion.

It has many features including a roll top bath. Plenty of space and fantastic views across Chesil beach. Parking can be tricky as explained in the particulars and sometimes requires tight manoeuvres but we always had a space to park. Only basic consumables are provided including toilet roll, washing up liquid and hand wash, plus basic tea/coffee sachets/uht milk, so you’ll need to provide everything else or get supplies in when you arrive. Overall a lovely quiet place which we thoroughly enjoyed our downtime. I didn’t want to leave!

Lovely house that worked well for us whilst visiting Portland.

. Nice and local to the beach, shop and pub which were all within walking distance. Parking as mentioned before hand was not easy this was not a problem for us although we had a truck which we got down to unload and load up by the house we would never get park out side even when there was spaces available , as it was very busy the car parks recommended were always full so ended up having to park down but the big roundabout which for us was ok as don’t mind walking and had a trolley but for anyone looking for close parking would not suit. The view out the bedroom window is beautiful and lovely to wake up to. For our boys the joy of watching the military aircraft flying round and landing near which could be seen from the bedroom windows by was a high light of their holiday.

Only issue we had was the parking exp late at night but nothing that can be done about that. Certainly won’t stop us considering a return visit. Loved it

The standard of the cottage was great - so comfortable and with everything you need catered for. Ideal location so close to the beach and easy travelling distance of so many great places to visit. Parking is a bit of a challenge at the property but there are a number of parking options close by. A fabulous holiday - would highly recommend the property.

Very well equipped cottage.

Fabulous view over Chesil Beach. Very comfortable and warm. 5 minutes to the shingle beach ( 10 minutes back up the steps) Fabulous cottage, and we had a lovely time. The more mature amongst us might need to be aware the stairs in the property are quite steep.

Always clean and welcoming. We had a great week weather wise. View from bedroom window is amazing. Could sit there all day and look down Chesil Beach! We will be back again.

We loved the cottage.

Everything we could possibly need was provided, and it was absolutely spotless when we arrived, far exceeding our expectations. The welcome bottle of Prosecco was a lovely touch too.

A real home from home, lovingly furnished by the owners with everything you need. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Great location with a variety of walks. We managed to park outside the property and actually didn't use the car the whole time we were there. We will be back!

The property is a real home from home lots to see and do .

My husband especially liked the D Day Museum in Castletown and Bovington Tank Museum . I myself loved Monkey World . The only downside to the property is the lack of parking space outside the house . It can be a bit of a nightmare trying to find a space in the car parks.

The cottage was excellent, well looked after and in a lovely place.

The smaller group who look after them, Dream Cottages, and the owners, do a good job in providing good information and thinking about what visitors need. However, I am totally fed up with being bombarded with emails by Sykes, most of which are repetitive, have lots of information I don't want, and are trying to sell me something else. This has put me off using your agency again.

Great cottage, lovely and peaceful.

Fantastic holiday home with great views along Chesil beach and out to sea. Lovingly renovated by owners, with well equipped kitchen and excellent family bathroom. We had a great week here in February half term, enjoying cosy nights in with the log burner on. The property is in a peaceful location, with good local amenities within easy walking distance including the fantastic Cove House Inn and Osprey Leisure Centre. Although parking outside of the property is not guaranteed there is plenty to be found within a short walking distance. There is lots to do on Portland itself. We particularly enjoyed the great view from the top of the hill by the Olympic Rings and climbing up Portland Bill lighthouse. Further afield we visited the Tank Museum at Bovington, Maiden Castle near Dorchester and hunted for fossils on Charmouth beach. We actually booked on to a guided fossil walk organised by the Charmouth Discovery centre which we can recommend. Langham Cottage would be a very good base for any one interested in water sports given it's proximity to Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy where there are facilities for sailing, power boating, kayaking, stand-up-paddle boarding and windsurfing. We really enjoyed our week in Dorset Langham cottage was welcoming, warm, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. We had amazing views of the beach and convenient for exploring the area. Several good restaurants and pubs within walking distance . Thank you very much

What a delight to see the sea as we woke up! Shame the weather was not too good, but we still walked around Portland in all weathers. The cottage is equipped with every comfort & we loved it! The parking was fine, & the neighbours very nice too! Everything was perfect & we would definitely book again! Stayed May 2018
