Sandpiper

This semi-detached property in this quiet and picturesque cul de sac was clean and bright.

The enclosed, fenced-in garden offered privacy and safety for outdoor activites. The cottage was amply equipped with furnishings, bedding, utilities and cookware to meet the needs of everyday family living. A selection of books and/or board games would compliment the lounge and a long- handled broom for quick clean up from sand traffic. This was a very enjoyable holiday home for a single or couple. We will definitely stay again.

This is a lovely place to stay in a great location we have stayed here previously and would come back, however the cleanliness lets it down, a large stain in the carpet that was there previously, in the living room, rusty and very dusty radiator in the bathroom.

The toilet is very hard to flush . Its such a shame these things let it down because other than this its perfect.

We were very happy with the accommodation clean and comfortable and all instructions made very clear and easy to understand including the directions.

This was a lovely little place to stay.

Recently refurbished and everything was spotless and new. A couple of issues with locks being left on the oven and hob which I needed to consult the manuals about, but apart from that, perfect

House was ok but carpet was dirty radiator in bathroom was rusty paint chips on stairs bedroom was clean and towels spotless kitchen clean all kitchen equipment you needed but didn't like where the House was

Very good property ideally suited our needs, a couple of minuses, the flush on the toilet is very hard to use and doesn’t always work, and the waste bins weren’t collected although we put them out on the previous evening to when they were collected.

This property was ideal for a couple and small dog like us.

It was well equipped, clean and spacious. Being a very short walk from the sea is a bonus and we enjoyed out evening strolls along the old railway line. A convenience store just five minutes away was also very handy.

House was pleasant only thing was little cleaning stuff and no condiments

Overall we liked Sandpiper but found the upstairs windows needed a good clean as covered in bird poo.

The bedroom had cobwebs on the window wall and the back garden grass needs mowing as it was about a foot high wouldn’t be pleasant to use. On the good side it was mostly clean and well equipped.

Dear little house not cluttered nice 5 ft bed plenty kitchen space .

You can see the sea from window upstairs nice enclosed garrden especially if you have pets .

This was our third visit and we would definitely return . Ideal for us as a couple with a small dog.Tidy enclosed garden and very convenient electric car charger . Clean , comfortable and well equipped . Handily situated for Weymouth, Chesil beach and Portland .

Very comfortable property.

The house was lovely and warm when we arrived on a freezing cold day.

Everything we needed was there. The fenced garden was a bonus for the dog.

Lovely, comfy above for 1 or 2 people.

Not luxurious but it was just the job for me. I felt at home there. Being between Weymouth and Portland, you can walk to both, enjoying the views.

was a little dubious when booked as never chosen property on an estate before but absolutely fine.

the house has everything you needed for 2 people. Well sited for visiting nearby attractions.Would endorse previous comments re carpets.

The house was lovely over all.

But in the lounge there was big balls of dog hair under the radiator which our little dog got in her mouth! In the kitchen we looked for some small plates as there was only one so checked the dish washer which had various unwashed items in it so we washed them ourselves. Other than that our experience was good.

Great place lovely and clean would definitely recommend a stay here quite location with access to lots of beautiful places close by

The plus’s are , good location, convenient for local amenities and dog walking.

The house was clean, and very well equipped. The bedroom was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The shower was okay after a plumber came out to fix the too hot water problem. It was nice to have the enclosed garden to sit in with the dog, unfortunately there were some ancient dog “poo” that had been left and also the seat/bench was broken. Inside the carpet in the dining room was badly stained and would have benefited from a shampoo. The only other niggle that we had was that only 1 loo roll was provided which we thought was a bit mean. So just a few small things which could easily be put right,but all in all we enjoyed our stay at Sandpiper.

! what a great little house, exactly as advertised. The house could not have been cleaner it was equipped with everything you would want or need. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was like new, as for the towels they were large, soft, fluffy and very white. Without doubt would recommend this holiday home to anyone and would stay again. Thanks to the owners and housekeeping staff. - John K.

Lovely cottage, everything that you could need and a well stocked kitchen.

The nest of tables in the living room could do with a tighten up on the legs and a couple of garden chairs in the large shed would have been lovely when the sun was shining.

Kitchen and Carpets not very clean.

Carpets not suitable for accommodation with dogs. Kitchen cabinets and radiators not clean. Carpet large wee stains on. Not a very nice smell on entering accommodation for the first time.

Cleaners had left some stuff by the back door. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were lovely. Thank you.

A very nice property that suited our needs - a small garden for the dog & an electric vehicle charging point.

Conveniently located - a nice restaurant & a small beach only a short walk away + easy access to Weymouth and other parts of Dorset.

We normally stay in older properties so we didn't know what to expect but this was a great find.

Location is excellent and it's great to have off street parking. There's everything you need . The garden is much nicer and bigger than it's looks in photos and was dog proof even for our escape artist terrier. It wasn't needed but having a car charger must be a plus as there's not many public charges around so that's a great move by the owners Internet is fast and stable and TV is great but a little complicated to use Well equipped kitchen lots of utensils glasses plates etc Would highly recommend

Lovely comfortable home away from home.

Great home for our dog too. The only down side for us was the music from the neighbour could be heard over the top of the TV although they did stop at a reasonable hour so didn’t affect our sleep. The location was ideal for us and within a short walk to the beach area in which we could walk our dog.

Sandpiper cottage is a great little house close to the Sea and within easy reach of Weymouth and Portland isle.Busses are regular, and only £2 each any trip.Theres a pub shop and takeaways within easy reach, plus chesil beach holiday Park with a great out and in sitting area for eating and drinking.Loved sandpiper, highly recommended.David, Sharon and Lizzy

A great little property so suited to the two of us.

Situated in a beautiful area with outlooks to the sea. Lovely walks. Easy journeys to Portland ,Weymouth, and many other places. The house is a home from home and we have booked again for next year. It is very well provisioned with everything you need always so clean and fresh. We love it.

Great holiday home.

Everything we needed. Very comfy and cosy. Lovely view from bedroom window over the sea. Shame the grass hadn’t been cut, was very long.

We had a lovely stay in Wyke.

The house was nice and clean, comfortable and there was a good shop nearby. Even my dog enjoyed herself and made a new friend on our morning walk, she looked out for him whenever we passed.

Sandpiper was a lovely little cottage ideal for two people and their furry friend.

It spotlessly clean and the welcome folder was a nice touch as was the cleaning bundle. The bed was good and the lounge seating really comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Hello, Thank you for letting us stay at your house .

We did enjoy it there .Just a couple of suggestions- The garden fence was not completely secure for Dogs . The gaps in the Trellis need filling in .Some cleaning products like Bleach and Jiff would be useful, plus bin liners . A small lamp in the lounge too. Other than this it was fine .

The property was comfortable the one down side was the neighbour who would play his music loudly, one evening it started at 9.

30pm and it was about 11.30pm before it finished. It took the shine off the holiday I wouldn't rebook at Sandpiper. It would be good for you to have prewarned incoming holidaymakers.

The property is lovely and we would like to return. The only comment we would make is the neighbour plays really loud music late afternoon/early evening but other than that we thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you.

Lovely house- well equipped kitchen with assorted crockery etc.

Nice large shower , comfortable bed , space around the bed and nice to have wardrobes with shelving inside . The property was lovely and clean and has been well maintained. We chose the cottage as they accept dogs, had an enclosed garden an EV charger as well as the location. A few minutes walk from the Rodwell trail and there was a small beach area which the dog could go on. We walked into Weymouth , also found free parking only 5 minutes wAlk from the harbour . Would recommend , it is on a small estate , quiet with all the facilities we needed.

Lovely little house, perfect base for getting around Dorset, we would be happy to use it again.

The interior of the property was very nice modern and comfortable, just a niggle about wardrobes having no handle to open the doors , having to bend down and open from the bottom, outside was a bit tatty the bench needs to be treated and the sheds looked very tatty again needed painting , other than that we had a very nice holiday .

Sandpiper is a lovely well kept house, with all the equipment you could ever need.

However, 1 toilet roll, 2 milk portions, 2 teabags, 2 coffee sachets and 2x2 biscuits was a little mean. The electric car charger was very useful.

Had a lovely time the cottage was small but comfortable very well equipped all you need.

the location on a housing estate didn’t suite us but was easy to get to.a stairs rail should be fitted to the wall we live in a bungalow and had difficulties climbing stairs.parking was not any problem.we had a wonderful holiday and would go back again it was well equipped and spotlessly clean

Nice area. Good decoration. Big bath towels. Spotlessly clean.

The accommodation was excellent.

A prime location for the beach, walks, shops, pub and buses into Weymouth and Portland. The cleanliness was very very good, please give our thanks to the Cleaning Staff. A couple of minor issues...there needs a table and cushions for use with the bench outside. We had to take the cushions from the sofa and a coffee table to use outside. Also, there was not a recycling box for glass bottles so we had to leave them for the cleaners to dispose of for us. Minor issues really. We had a great time and the neighbour, who is a singer/songwriter was very friendly and it was nice to hear him singing and strumming his guitar.

Lovely property, very well equipped and comfortable.

Five minutes to the beach, with plenty of dog walks. Weather was fantastic. We had a lovely stay. Thank you. Although it was a secure garden, it was at the front of the house, which wasn’t stated, having taken our dog with us and it being a picket fence we felt we couldn’t leave her unattended in the garden.

We loved this property, it was perfect in a lovely location.

We were unlucky as next door was having some building work done. Only one toilet roll so it's annoying to have to buy some when it is ticked as provided and not just starter roll. The bed was super comfy and towels clean and soft.

Beautiful cottage meeting all our needs.

Very clean. Everything is accessible. It was important for us to have a charging for our electric car. This was right outside the door. Close to lovely peaceful walk along the Rodwell trail into Weymouth and towards Portland. We will be back.

A pleasant, well furnished and well equipped property.

As older people we were pleased that it is within very easy reach of local buses. Make sure that you park only in the place allocated. Even though the space beside the allocated one was never used during our week stay we did, on one occasion straddle the two spaces and were presented with a note the following day which was curt and unpleasant

Lovely property which was spotlessly clean.

Well positioned for nice walks into Weymouth along the Rodwell Trail. We enjoyed our stay there. Only thing I would say is the living room could with a lamp and a mirror on the wall. Otherwise a fantastic little place to stay. Many Thanks for a great week.

Sandpiper is an ideal base for a holiday in Weymouth.

The place was very clean and tidy when we arrived. The Chargemaster was an added bonus for our electric car. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfasts and evening meals. The tv with Netflix was lovely to have in the cozy lounge. The bathroom was very nice, with a huge shower with constant hot water. The bedroom was lovely, but the base and mattress were very high from the ground, and caution is required getting in and out of bed! Unfortunately, our holiday had to be cut short because of Storm Claudio, so only stayed 4 nights instead of 7 nights! We would definately love to come back to Sandpiper again, and do all the things we were unable to do because of the very bad weather conditions.

Lovely property had all facilities needed for a break away.

Ideal location to the right it led to the Rodwell trail path which takes you an hour stroll along into Weymouth. Turn left from property and you end up on main road with bus stops convenince store pizza, chinese and fish and chips. An all round great property with great location.

The house was immaculate and the location was perfect.

I would definitely return to this property.
