This detached character property is subtly hidden away close to the locally well know beauty spot in Weymouth called Bincleaves.  A sociable kitchen opens up onto a bright dining area / conservatory with an attractive roof terrace beyond.  The property benefits from a shower room and bedroom downstairs and so may be ideal for guests who are less able.  A walk across Bincleaves Green along the cliff tops to the Nothe Gardens and round to the harbour makes for a memorable experience.  The views from the first floor balcony of the lodge span across from Weymouth Bay and over Weymouth itself where you can see the 'White Horse' and 'Hardy's Monument' in the far distance.

Although the main sandy beach in Weymouth town centre is within walking distance, the less well known but in some ways more attractive beach at Sandsfoot, with its Robinson Crusoe appeal is perhaps the nearest one being roughly eight minutes' walk away.  A short cut down the footpath directly opposite the Lodge brings you to within two minutes' walk of Hope Square.  Here you can enjoy restaurants, tea rooms and pubs. Walk through the square to reach the pretty Old Harbour.  The Lodge is very well presented and offers you a quiet holiday but within easy striking distance of all the magic that Weymouth has to offer.

Accommodation:  Kitchen with conservatory/dining room and patio door access onto patio area and steps up to roof garden.  Utility room. Lounge with 32" flat screen TV and Blu-ray DVD.  Downstairs shower room with hand basin and toilet. Bedroom 1 Twin single beds which can be moved together to make a 6ft super king. Stairs to 1st floor Bedroom 2 King sized double bed with ensuite shower room, hand basin and toilet.  Bedroom 3: Twin single beds.

Services in addition to standard equipment:  Wifi. Gas central heating. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Fridge/Freezer CD Music system. Dolce Gusto coffee machine. Off road parking for one car only at the front of the property.  Cot. Highchair. Bed linen and towels inclusive.

Please note: due to a landslip, whilst Castle Cove beach is no longer accessible, you can still access Sandsfoot beach (next to the sailing club).

Mrs K Forbes
Fantastic property with plenty of space for the six of us. It's just a pity it was raining as we would have loved to use the outside space too. It had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We had a problem with the downstairs toilet door not opening properly but literally within 10 minutes of calling to report this someone was with us to fix it! Incredible service. Good location, easy to walk down to the pubs, restaurants and town. Highly recommened. Stayed April 2018

Mrs K Dufton
The property was ideally located and had a wonderful view from the roof terrace. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The beach was within walking distance, even with all the buckets and spades etc required to entertain two children! We would definitely stay at this property again or one in this area next time we visit Weymouth - stayed August 2017

Mr P Green
A lovely property in a great location, 10 minutes walk to the centre of Weymouth or slightly longer taking the more picturesque coastal path. Well appointed, comfortable accommodation, would stay again - stayed November 2016

Mrs M Twist
Good well equipt home in great location. Everything you would ever need for a wonderful stay in beautiful Dorset - stayed July 2016

About the Location

Weymouth sits perfectly on the stunningly beautiful Jurassic coastline. Located on the Southern tip of Dorset, this traditional seaside town is one of the most visited and popular areas on the south coast.

With a beautiful, blue flag, sandy beach, sitting against the back drop of an elegant Georgian esplanade, this seaside wonder is a firm favourite for families. As indeed it once was for King George III, who famously used to holiday here.

For a perfectly nostalgic English seaside holiday, you can ask for no more. A golden, sandy beach, named one of the best in Britain, shallow waters which are perfect for paddling, Punch and Judy shows, donkey rides, carousels on the promenade, all accompanied by traditional chippies and quaint tea rooms.

Head down to Weymouth’s Old Harbour, a fine Georgian harbour and one of the prettiest in Europe. Simply soak up the bustling atmosphere of harbour life; sit on the harbour wall with some fish and chips and watch the large catamarans, traditional fishing boats and luxury yachts. Or why not enjoy an adrenaline fuelled ride around the bay with the Weymouth Bay Rib Charters. How about a nice family fishing trip? Many of the fishing boats at the harbour offer fishing trips for absolute beginners and accomplished anglers. Weymouth is fantastic for fishing with plenty of wrecks and reefs to explore.

Try a Jurassic Safari where you can sample Dorset’s secret beauty, off the beaten track. You will be taken along unspoilt country lanes, ancient byways and deep river crossings, whilst catching sight of beautiful wildlife.

Fossil hunting on Chesil beach is a joy with the children. They can run up and down the steep shingle climb, whilst you picnic on the beach.

Sandworld is definitely worth a visit; the sand art won’t fail to impress and there is a fantastic sandpit for the children to play in.

Visit the magnificent Nothe Fort and explore the tunnels and passageways that were once filled with soldiers and canons. See where all the gun powder was stored and walk up to the top level where the canons were fired at the approaching enemy.

If a leisurely stroll through beautiful gardens is more your thing, why not try the award winning Greenhill Gardens, which sit right on the seafront. Bennetts Water Gardens is also a lovely choice, replete with a vast array of water lilies and a Claude Monet style Japanese bridge. A very romantic setting for a picnic!

For a fun packed day out with the kids, head to the Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park and Tower, an underground sea world with attractions, rides and over 1,000 incredible creatures. Venture up in a viewing capsule on the The Jurassic Skyline for an incredible panoramic view across the Jurassic Coastline and Dorset countryside.

Children will love Fantasy Island. There are lots of rides, many traditional ones ideal for younger children, tea pots and flying elephants to name but a few! Penny arcades, slot machines and a fab coffee bar.

Weymouth is a fantastic town with plenty to do for everyone!
