Being all on one level, Outlook Lodge may be perfect for guests needing ground floor bedroom and bathroom facilities.  Large patio doors from the lounge area overlook the garden which has a patio and lawn and is surrounded by views of the Dorset countryside.  However, to appreciate how near the coast is you can glimpse the sea from the bedroom window or the drive way.  Just across the road from the property the sea views are spectacular and panoramic.  The South West Coastal path with access to walks along the Jurassic coast is just a stone's throw from the property.    The main beach and town in Weymouth are only a short car or bus journey away.  The town centre has a good range of high street names and quirky boutiques in the adjacent Lanes as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes.  Access out of Weymouth in order to visit the many tourist attractions South Dorset has to offer is very convenient from Outlook Lodge.

Fantastic few days for my birthday! The lodge is gorgeous, immaculate and well equipped, a credit to the owners. can imagine it's fantastic in the summer with all the doors open to the garden. Great to watch the wildlife ad to have seen a rabbit in the garden, bats in the evening and even an owl fly over. The lodge is nice and warm and the beds are comfy. By far the best property we have stayed in so far, everything that you needed was there and more. Off road parking was good. The enclosed garden was great for the dog. Provisionally booked for next year hopefully weather will be better. – Stayed September 2017.

Mr N Walters
We have had an amazing holiday and found the lodge to be very well equipped and a comfortable place to stay. The nautical decor is outstanding and it is made a perfect base for us to visit family and all our favourite attractions. We also enjoyed an afternoon at Tyneham village which was a great recommendation from the owner. Thanks for a perfect holiday we would love to return next year - stayed August 2017

Ms K Stone
We have had a fantastic holiday, our batteries totally recharged. The lodge is stunning a real 'wow' factor in a beautiful location. We have been out and about by car, on foot, found many dog friendly pubs where you can have a lovely meal. We would recommend 'The Springhead' about two miles from here. The garden is safe and secure for our dog willow. Garden furniture was perfect when weather was permitting, but even the weather has not dampened our spirits. We are sad it has come to an end, the week has flown by and we will be back – stayed July 2017

Ms L Shrubsall
Lovely week pottering around Weymouth, the lodge is beautiful and equipped with everything you need. The garden is a sun trap and so safe for our little dog Evie. So nice to relax somewhere so peaceful yet so close to shops, restaurants and beautiful walks. The Lookout café dopes amazing breakfasts, the fish and chips at Bennetts on the Old Harbour are superb, the Tea Room also worth a visit. Loved walking around the Nothe Gardens and Portland is spectacular. Will definitely be back. Stayed July 2017

Mr J Brown
We have had a fantastic holiday at Outlook Lodge. We have felt so at home in this beautifully decorated and looked after place. Everything is lovely and clean and comfortable – thank you. We enjoyed eating out in the garden with the countryside views. We have enjoyed walking the dog on the cliff top opposite the lodge and down on the beach below stopping for yummy food and drinks at The Oasis Café. Gorgeous sandy beach in Weymouth and fun rock pools at Newtons Cove. We also visited Lulworth Cove and Charmouth to do fossil hunting with our dog. We also had a lovely time visiting the lighthouse at Portland Bill, thanks for the recommendation, we would love to return one day. Stayed July 2017

Mr P Pratt
The Lodge was exceptional. From the first impressions entering to everything within the lodge. It was spotlessly clean, the bed.. well the first thing we did when we got home was to order one!!!! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The weather was great as well. It was lovely sitting in the lounge at night watching the bats flying across the garden. Will definitely be back. Stayed May 2017

About the Location

Weymouth sits perfectly on the stunningly beautiful Jurassic coastline. Located on the Southern tip of Dorset, this traditional seaside town is one of the most visited and popular areas on the south coast.

With a beautiful, blue flag, sandy beach, sitting against the back drop of an elegant Georgian esplanade, this seaside wonder is a firm favourite for families. As indeed it once was for King George III, who famously used to holiday here.

For a perfectly nostalgic English seaside holiday, you can ask for no more. A golden, sandy beach, named one of the best in Britain, shallow waters which are perfect for paddling, Punch and Judy shows, donkey rides, carousels on the promenade, all accompanied by traditional chippies and quaint tea rooms.

Head down to Weymouth’s Old Harbour, a fine Georgian harbour and one of the prettiest in Europe. Simply soak up the bustling atmosphere of harbour life; sit on the harbour wall with some fish and chips and watch the large catamarans, traditional fishing boats and luxury yachts. Or why not enjoy an adrenaline fuelled ride around the bay with the Weymouth Bay Rib Charters. How about a nice family fishing trip? Many of the fishing boats at the harbour offer fishing trips for absolute beginners and accomplished anglers. Weymouth is fantastic for fishing with plenty of wrecks and reefs to explore.

Try a Jurassic Safari where you can sample Dorset’s secret beauty, off the beaten track. You will be taken along unspoilt country lanes, ancient byways and deep river crossings, whilst catching sight of beautiful wildlife.

Fossil hunting on Chesil beach is a joy with the children. They can run up and down the steep shingle climb, whilst you picnic on the beach.

Sandworld is definitely worth a visit; the sand art won’t fail to impress and there is a fantastic sandpit for the children to play in.

Visit the magnificent Nothe Fort and explore the tunnels and passageways that were once filled with soldiers and canons. See where all the gun powder was stored and walk up to the top level where the canons were fired at the approaching enemy.

If a leisurely stroll through beautiful gardens is more your thing, why not try the award winning Greenhill Gardens, which sit right on the seafront. Bennetts Water Gardens is also a lovely choice, replete with a vast array of water lilies and a Claude Monet style Japanese bridge. A very romantic setting for a picnic!

For a fun packed day out with the kids, head to the Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park and Tower, an underground sea world with attractions, rides and over 1,000 incredible creatures. Venture up in a viewing capsule on the The Jurassic Skyline for an incredible panoramic view across the Jurassic Coastline and Dorset countryside.

Children will love Fantasy Island. There are lots of rides, many traditional ones ideal for younger children, tea pots and flying elephants to name but a few! Penny arcades, slot machines and a fab coffee bar.

Weymouth is a fantastic town with plenty to do for everyone!
