Lobster Cottage is a pretty cottage just off Brewers Quay; one of the most picturesque and popular areas in Weymouth which plays host to a number of festivals throughout the year. A few steps from the front door is the old harbour where you can while away a lazy afternoon watching the fishing boats and yachts come and go or letting the children try their hand at teasing a crab line. In and around Brewers Quay is an array of restaurants, coffee houses and pubs, perfect for trying our freshly caught sea food or locally brewed beer. The town centre with its shops, bowling and cinema is a leisurely stroll away, as is the long and sandy main beach with its shallow bathing waters. Lobster Cottage has been renovated to a high standard and has the benefit of off street parking for two small cars, which is rare and a real bonus in the Brewers Quay area. However, with the great location of the cottage you may just want to park up at the beginning of your stay and enjoy the fact that you are within walking distance of everything you need for a holiday in Weymouth.

Mr J Key
We found the Lobster Cottage perfect in all areas, the owner even left a few treats. Would recommend the Lobster Cottage 100%. Well-presented and in a perfect position when visiting Weymouth. Stayed December 2017

Lovely cottage, excellent location - cannot fault it - Stayed August 2017

Mrs N Maynard
Our 3rd stay at what we call our '2nd home'. We first stayed at Lobster Cottage 2014. The reason we return. Location - couldn't be better, near the hussle and bustle of Brewers Quay (fab eating places) the lovely sea walk around to Nothe Fort, near the harbour and beautiful beach. The cottage is in an excellent condition and provides all the home comforts you need and would expect. The parking space is a added bonus. There is no fault, and we wouldn't stay anywhere else in our beloved Weymouth! Stayed August 2017

Mrs S Grubb
We had a fantastic week and had everything we could possibly need and more within the accommodation. The little extras such as the basket of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were extremely welcoming as were the other items. It was spotlessly clean and I would recommend it to others - stayed August 2017

Mrs K Waters
Fantastic location, really close to the harbour, and the parking space was a real bonus. The cottage was clean, cosy and beautiful with all amenities that we could possibly require. A great holiday cottage and we would certainly book it again- Stayed July 2017

Mr I Mcmullan
The cottage was situated in an ideal location just off the harbour. It was well presented, clean and spacious. The kitchen has all the usual modcons plus a washing machine which if you are there for more than a few days would be great. We had a lovely break in Weymouth made all the more enjoyable by staying in Lobster cottage. Stayed February 2017

Mrs S Janeway
Clean tidy Perfect location Handy car space. Stayed February 2017

About the Location

Weymouth sits perfectly on the stunningly beautiful Jurassic coastline. Located on the Southern tip of Dorset, this traditional seaside town is one of the most visited and popular areas on the south coast.

With a beautiful, blue flag, sandy beach, sitting against the back drop of an elegant Georgian esplanade, this seaside wonder is a firm favourite for families. As indeed it once was for King George III, who famously used to holiday here.

For a perfectly nostalgic English seaside holiday, you can ask for no more. A golden, sandy beach, named one of the best in Britain, shallow waters which are perfect for paddling, Punch and Judy shows, donkey rides, carousels on the promenade, all accompanied by traditional chippies and quaint tea rooms.

Head down to Weymouth’s Old Harbour, a fine Georgian harbour and one of the prettiest in Europe. Simply soak up the bustling atmosphere of harbour life; sit on the harbour wall with some fish and chips and watch the large catamarans, traditional fishing boats and luxury yachts. Or why not enjoy an adrenaline fuelled ride around the bay with the Weymouth Bay Rib Charters. How about a nice family fishing trip? Many of the fishing boats at the harbour offer fishing trips for absolute beginners and accomplished anglers. Weymouth is fantastic for fishing with plenty of wrecks and reefs to explore.

Try a Jurassic Safari where you can sample Dorset’s secret beauty, off the beaten track. You will be taken along unspoilt country lanes, ancient byways and deep river crossings, whilst catching sight of beautiful wildlife.

Fossil hunting on Chesil beach is a joy with the children. They can run up and down the steep shingle climb, whilst you picnic on the beach.

Sandworld is definitely worth a visit; the sand art won’t fail to impress and there is a fantastic sandpit for the children to play in.

Visit the magnificent Nothe Fort and explore the tunnels and passageways that were once filled with soldiers and canons. See where all the gun powder was stored and walk up to the top level where the canons were fired at the approaching enemy.

If a leisurely stroll through beautiful gardens is more your thing, why not try the award winning Greenhill Gardens, which sit right on the seafront. Bennetts Water Gardens is also a lovely choice, replete with a vast array of water lilies and a Claude Monet style Japanese bridge. A very romantic setting for a picnic!

For a fun packed day out with the kids, head to the Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park and Tower, an underground sea world with attractions, rides and over 1,000 incredible creatures. Venture up in a viewing capsule on the The Jurassic Skyline for an incredible panoramic view across the Jurassic Coastline and Dorset countryside.

Children will love Fantasy Island. There are lots of rides, many traditional ones ideal for younger children, tea pots and flying elephants to name but a few! Penny arcades, slot machines and a fab coffee bar.

Weymouth is a fantastic town with plenty to do for everyone!
