Mr N Levitsky
We have been using Dream Cottages for a number of years and have never been disappointed. Fenders Cottage was a perfect place to stay for the weekend. On the doorstep of the old harbour and walking distance to the town centre, beach or coastal path. The place itself was immaculate and very comfortable. The garden was fantastic - enjoying sunshine from dawn till dusk. Our older daughters live in Weymouth so we visit regularly and will continue to use Dream Cottages for our stays. We will try and book Fenders again for our next trip. Stayed May 2018

Mr L Mason
My husband needed to contact the office as soon as we arrived because we couldn't find the parking permit. The staff in the office were very helpful and didn't make us feel as though we were being a nuisance, we found the permit in the information book when we thought it would be on the table. Lovely comfortable little cottage. Felt very homely and we enjoyed our stay. The mattress on the master bed was very comfortable, it's usually because of a hard mattress as to why we leave our holidays early! – Stayed July 2017

Mrs E Cox

Mr M Cook
My fourth time in Weymouth, a place I love, but my fiancée's first and she fell in love with the place too. All DC places are fab and Fenders didn't disappoint. Close to the Quay, town and beach a few minutes walk away ensured a wonderful break Thanks again DC, we'll be back soon. Stayed September 2016

Mrs Goodman
There were clear directions on finding the cottage, the instructions for getting the key from the key safe were exactly as described. The cottage and garden are really lovely, an old property tastefully brought to modern standards. Being within walking distance of the town centre, harbour and beach and was brilliant. We had a wonderful holiday, we managed to find car parking in nearby streets. The parking permit for some of the local car parks was greatly appreciated. Stayed September 2016

Mr Price
Fenders and Weymouth surpassed all of our hopes and expectations. We had a wonderful and very comfortable stay at Fenders. Every comfort was catered for and we are definitely coming back to Weymouth next year. Commitments make it difficult for us to book again at this stage, but we will be in touch with Dream Cottages to see what is available as soon as we can be sure of our holiday dates. Oh, the icing on the cake was that the sun shone brilliantly for six of our seven days holiday. Thank you from the Price family stayed August 2016

Mr P Woolley
This was the best holiday cottage we have ever rented, no bending over and head banging as with some other Dorset cottages.Everything we wanted in the property, shops and beach not far away and plenty to see in the area. The first weekend coincided with the Wessex Folk Festival, a great couple of days of entertainment. Our 2 dogs were ok in the garden, no chance of escape with 6ft walls. The fish feeding got our staffy going. We managed to park once on the street and in the designated car park the rest of the time which was a short walk away, not a problem. Have booked a second week later in the year. Stayed June 2016

About the Location

Weymouth sits perfectly on the stunningly beautiful Jurassic coastline. Located on the Southern tip of Dorset, this traditional seaside town is one of the most visited and popular areas on the south coast.

With a beautiful, blue flag, sandy beach, sitting against the back drop of an elegant Georgian esplanade, this seaside wonder is a firm favourite for families. As indeed it once was for King George III, who famously used to holiday here.

For a perfectly nostalgic English seaside holiday, you can ask for no more. A golden, sandy beach, named one of the best in Britain, shallow waters which are perfect for paddling, Punch and Judy shows, donkey rides, carousels on the promenade, all accompanied by traditional chippies and quaint tea rooms.

Head down to Weymouth’s Old Harbour, a fine Georgian harbour and one of the prettiest in Europe. Simply soak up the bustling atmosphere of harbour life; sit on the harbour wall with some fish and chips and watch the large catamarans, traditional fishing boats and luxury yachts. Or why not enjoy an adrenaline fuelled ride around the bay with the Weymouth Bay Rib Charters. How about a nice family fishing trip? Many of the fishing boats at the harbour offer fishing trips for absolute beginners and accomplished anglers. Weymouth is fantastic for fishing with plenty of wrecks and reefs to explore.

Try a Jurassic Safari where you can sample Dorset’s secret beauty, off the beaten track. You will be taken along unspoilt country lanes, ancient byways and deep river crossings, whilst catching sight of beautiful wildlife.

Fossil hunting on Chesil beach is a joy with the children. They can run up and down the steep shingle climb, whilst you picnic on the beach.

Sandworld is definitely worth a visit; the sand art won’t fail to impress and there is a fantastic sandpit for the children to play in.

Visit the magnificent Nothe Fort and explore the tunnels and passageways that were once filled with soldiers and canons. See where all the gun powder was stored and walk up to the top level where the canons were fired at the approaching enemy.

If a leisurely stroll through beautiful gardens is more your thing, why not try the award winning Greenhill Gardens, which sit right on the seafront. Bennetts Water Gardens is also a lovely choice, replete with a vast array of water lilies and a Claude Monet style Japanese bridge. A very romantic setting for a picnic!

For a fun packed day out with the kids, head to the Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park and Tower, an underground sea world with attractions, rides and over 1,000 incredible creatures. Venture up in a viewing capsule on the The Jurassic Skyline for an incredible panoramic view across the Jurassic Coastline and Dorset countryside.

Children will love Fantasy Island. There are lots of rides, many traditional ones ideal for younger children, tea pots and flying elephants to name but a few! Penny arcades, slot machines and a fab coffee bar.

Weymouth is a fantastic town with plenty to do for everyone!
