A 'home from home' brilliantly equipped with everything a family (plus, in our case a well behaved dog) could require. Access was easy and the house was immaculately presented and very clean. There were lots of very interesting places to visit on Portland (our favourites were the D Day Museum (a real hands on experience run by friendly volunteers - you need to spend around 2 hours there to appreciate everything on display), Portland Bill & the castle. There was also paddle boarding, diving, snorkelling etc & a couple of great cafes at the Marina, all near a good area of green to walk the dog, not forgetting Chesil Beach (5 mins walk). Small local shops and pubs were in easy walking distance and there was a Lidl just down the road. Easy access to Weymouth and the rest of Dorset made this a very enjoyable stay.

The designated chef will be delighted with the amply equipped kitchen, where you will find all the necessities required for a week long break with your loved ones.

As the evening draws to a close, indulge with a relaxing soak within the stylish family bathroom before heading up the staircase to retire to one of the two brightly-decorated bedrooms, comprising of a double bedroom and a twin bedroom.

For days out, spend some time at the 18-mile-long beach which is a superb spot for birdwatching, coastal walks and tackling one of the many watersports on offer.

Alternatively, brush up on the local history by visiting the impressive 16th century Portland Castle, where you can explore the gun platforms, a Tudor-style kitchen and enjoy breath-taking sea views.
