For best of both worlds head to Sutton Poyntz

I always think the village of Sutton Poyntz would make an ideal holiday destination.

Situated just outside of Weymouth near Preston, this gorgeous little village has a real country feel but is only a short bus ride from the Weymouth’s seafront.

If your a keen walker, there are some fantastic footpaths which go for miles.

You can either trek up The White Horse or even walk over to Preston for some sea air. However, a more relaxing option is also available in this village.

Willow trees surround the duck pond and there is a really good pub called The Springhead (Sunday carvery is seriously yummy) with a large family garden.

This pub is also dog friendly.

Every year at the end of June/beginning of July they have a popular village fete.
