Gill's trip to Honeybrook Farm near Wimborne

Gill our Accounts Manager wrote thispost for ourblogabout her lovely day out with her grandchildren.   Recently I took my 2 Grandsons and family to Honeybrook Farm near Wimborne for a day out. There was a pets corner where the children can cuddle a bunny, guinea pig or chicken and all have names. Very friendly staff helps the children to hold the pets. There was a cute pony to groom and goats to feed aided by staff. Also there are other horses and lots of pigs with piglets at different ages to view in their enclosures. There is a large picnic area with fairly new picnic tables. In this area there is ducks and a pond, a bouncy pillow for energetic kids, splash pad (water fountains for children to play in) and lots of chickens and geese walking around you whilst you picnic. There is a large play area, zip wire and climbing frames to play on and play area for under 6 year olds. There is also an indoor play area in case of bad weather. After our picnic, we did the river walk and saw lots of dragonflies, birds and farm animals. There is a pebble area you can paddle in the river. We then headed for the caf to buy ice creams, also they do really nice food and there is an old fashioned tea room caf to sit and enjoy a cream tea in pretty gardens or look at the old part of the house. We then went to look at the reptile rescue centre, which was full of all things creepy, snakes of all sizes and scary lizards of all varieties. There is also tractor rides and pony rides throughout the day. We spent 5 very enjoyable hours there and only 5 for adults, 3 for children and 1 for the car park. So good value and took home 2 very tired grandchildren at the end of the day.   For more information visit http://honeybrook.org/ Read more >
