“Superb location for dog walks across the head and along the pristine beaches.”
The bungalow itself is spacious and well laid out. The garden is secure and ideal for dogs. Regrettably, this is marked by the lack of care taken to maintain comforts which are lacking. When we arrived we found several marks and stains on soft furnishings and surfaces. On closer inspection there was a lot of gritty sand in the sofa. When we left and stripped the beds, we discovered a duvet and mattress protector heavily bloodstained. These had been washed, but we would expect them to be replaced ...
These had been washed, but we would expect them to be replaced rather than left. Very unpleasant! The duvets themselves are very light- for summer use, not suitable for February. There were also no accessible blankets in the property- we had to use the duvets from the other beds to double-up (which you couldn’t do if they were needed for other guests). The mattresses could also do with being replaced. Very uncomfortable with deep divots. Furthermore, having stayed in many properties over the years, I was disappointed that there was no welcome to the property. A card and a pint of milk is the bare minimum- but not even this was provided. This meanness extends to an overused pot sponge, and the cheapest toilet roll available. This may sound petty, but these little things create a poor first impression. Such a shame as this could be an outstanding property if more care was offered it and its guests.
