About the location
Corfe Castle
Cove Castle is a firm favourite with locals, sitting along side the Rodwell trail area, Cove Castle Beach is usually uncrowded, and offers safe bathing from it’s gently sloping shoreline. There are two main beach areas, Cove Castle, awaiting new steps to the beach in early 2019, and Sandsfoot beach, both with soft golden sand and the vibe of the best kept secret. Sandsfoot castle is just two minutes’ walk from the beach where you will find castle ruins, pretty award-winning gardens and a small café, offering snacks, drinks and ice-creams. Accessed off Old Castle Road in Weymouth, this area is a real treat for those who want to be away from the buzz and bright lights of the traditional Weymouth Seafront, and yet close enough to venture there when they choose. When you are on the beach you could be forgiven for thinking you are miles from town, and yet you are only a 15-20 minute walk from the old Harbour and access to Weymouth town centre. If you want to know where the locals would recommend you spend your beach days, then Cove Castle and Sandsfoot beaches are it.
Note: max 4 people.
Note: guests need to provide their own cot linen.
Note: please be aware that gardeners will be attending the property intermittently throughout the year for essential garden maintenance. They will require access through the property during this time.
Note: as the property fronts the main Wareham to Swanage road, secondary double glazing has been installed to minimise any road noise.
