“Lovely, comfortable accommodation.”
Great central location for harbour and beach.
Great central location for harbour and beach.
“We have stayed at this cottage many times and think it is excellent choice for a holiday in November.”
It is very well furnished, cosy and warm and only a short walk to shops & restaurants. Lovely walks in the park near the fort so the dog is happy! The back garden at the cottage is very secure so easy to take my little dog out morning and night. Parking is difficult in the surrounding streets but the owners have provided a parking pass which would definitely be required in high season. Our only complaint was that the heating hadn't been put on early enough and it took a day to get the cottage up to the right temperature. It was only 14 degrees when we first arrived at the cottage and I suspect it had been empty for the previous week. However, the advantages that this cottage offers outweighs this and we have booked again for November 2020.
“This is a very pleasant terraced property.”
It was spotlessly clean on arrival, The downstairs is light and bright, with a lovely breakfast area, and there is outside seating for relaxing in a small enclosed garden. It’s proximity to historical Weymouth Harbour and all it’s facilities is excellent, and this is why we chose this property. Walking just beyond the centre are the beautiful beaches, Harbour beach is dog friendly all year round. Nothe Castle and it’s lovely gardens are just a two minute walk away. Parking wasn’t really a problem for us as we managed to locate spaces close by. We would definitely return.
“Well presented, clean and comfortable accommodation.”
Good position for the town
“The house was lovely; clean, smart and with all the facilities we could need.”
The location is also amazing, with just a short walk to the town centre, down the steps by the church and over the bridge. We just had a couple of problems - the lights on the wall in the dining area didn't work, which meant you couldn't sit out there after dark to read a newspaper at the table. And the fence at the far end of the garden had buckled, we think in the strong winds (or another dog had barged into it). We had to place the rubbish bins against the gap, wedged in with a garden chair, to stop our small dog from trying to get next door! But those are the only faults in this house. Would heartily recommend it.
“Cottage very welcoming, we felt relaxed the minute we stepped inside.”
Spotlessly clean, everything provided was of excellent quality. Great location, only used the car on a couple of occasions, appreciated the parking pass. Loved the cottage and holiday. Would definitely book again - stayed June 2016.

Net curtains at the front windows would be a bonus.

About the location
BREWERS QUAY HARBOUR
Dorchester 8.7 miles; West Lulworth 15.8 miles
Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!
Note: Welcomes 1 well behaved pet. Note: Parking permit is for local car park just a few minutes walk from the cottage. Note: Guests to provide their own fuel for the log burner – this is NOT included in the rent.
