“Very nice home and a good size for our family.”

Unfortunately, the place was not clean. The bathrooms in particular. There was also a lot of noise in the very early hours of the morning for deliverys for the local pub. We enjoyed our stay, although would not look to stay again.

Thank you for your comment regarding the very nice home and a good size, it was refurbished and extended less than 5 years ago with the addition of an extra shower and bathrooms. Our properties are cleaned by our in-house cleaners, then checked and inspected for quality, condition and supplies at 3 o'clock prior to guests' arrival on Saturdays. Regrettably the water is particularly hard which can lead to premature limescale build up which we endeavour to remove as it occurs. We care deeply about the condition and cleanliness of our properties. The master bedroom ensuite shower became so significantly marked due to lime scale and the cleaning of it, that we replaced the complete shower cubicle and door in March of this year. This is no excuse for a lack of cleanliness, and we regret that you felt that our team have overlooked something. Had this been brought to our attention at any point in your stay via the letting booking office situated just over the town bridge and available 7 days a week then we could have addressed your concerns. The accommodation is adjacent to the harbourside and the "Sailors Return" public house, which dates back to the 17th century. It is a prominent part of the harbour's street scene. In it's history boats were able to moor on the side of the of the building where rum and contraband were freely traded. Since the infilling of the harbour, to build a road, the pub is served by a single delivery every Thursday that can be any time after 7.30 am and before 11.30 am. Furthermore, the public entrance is on the far side of the building and their letting accommodation has very thick walls which prevent noise from being heard from across the street. We do have another property 'Mutiny House' that is on the other side of the harbour close to the life boat where there is next to no traffic by car or foot that we would be delighted to offer you at a competitive rate if you would consider engaging with us. The property

New Boathouse is renovated, and very well-presented cottage very close to the Old Harbour in Weymouth. This lovely property has a large contemporary kitchen, dining area leading to sitting area - perfect for a larger family or friends holidaying together.

Set over three floors with four bedrooms and sleeping up to seven guests the property is a comfortable holiday home with all necessary equipment. Bedrooms are set over the first and second floors.

The second-floor single room with additional bed, is a little limited in size when used as a twin as it impedes access.

There are en-suite bathrooms to two of the bedrooms on the first floor, as well as a separate family bathroom on the second floor, and a ground floor cloakroom for your convenience. Main award-winning Weymouth beach is only about a short 5-minute walk from the property.

Inner harbour is only seconds away where you can sit on one of many benches, enjoy traditional fish and chips and admire fishing boats and yachts passing by in and out of the marina.

In New Boathouse you are just seconds from the main high streets hosting independent quirky shops, a ten-screen cinema.

Also, you will be spoilt for choice with possibilities of cuisines from Italy to China along with traditional fish and chips and fine harbourside dining.

What holiday without a day on the beach – Weymouth’s beach is perfect for making sandcastles and bathing.

Adjacent to the beach is the Georgian Esplanade, perfect for an after-dinner promenade walk.

Venture towards a lovely suburb of Preston where South West Coast path becomes a bit more difficult with rolling clifftops all the way to Lulworth Cove and further.

Weymouth is well placed along the Jurassic Coastline - a short car ride to the West offers the attractions of traditional picture-postcard villages such as Burton Bradstock with pretty cottages and good pubs as well as Abbotsbury Swannery and Sub-tropical gardens.

To the East a visit to the acclaimed Monkey World or Tank Museum may be of interest. The New Boathouse is an ideally positioned property in which to stay whilst enjoying a holiday in Weymouth.

Festivals will cause some inconvenience due to some road closures and parking restrictions. Should you require any further assistance or clarification on this please do not hesitate to contact us.
