    “The cottage is in a fabulous location and very well equipped.”

    The tudor house opposite is a must to visit as is Thomas Hardy's birth place Lots of local pubs and restaurants to visit. Only draw back is that parking costs roughly an extra £10 a day. There was no permit parking available

The property

Harbour Retreat is a wonderful two-bedroomed, three-storey cottage situated in Brewers Quay, near the old harbour in Weymouth, Dorset.

Conveniently located close to a range of cafés, bars and bistros making this a fantastic choice for couples or friends looking for a seaside break at any time of the year.

Much improved over the years, this characterful cottage has been renovated to a high standard with some lovely personal touches throughout.

The stylish lounge is bright and welcoming providing a perfect spot for relaxing after your day’s activities.

An archway leads from the lounge through to the dining room, located towards the rear of the cottage, which flows seamlessly to the adjoining breakfast room and wonderfully stylish galley kitchen.

A truly sociable space, doors open out to a charming courtyard garden, a secluded spot to enjoy your morning cuppa or evening glass of wine.

Arranged over three floors, the first of the two king-size bedrooms is located on the first floor alongside a charming dressing room.

The bathroom with shower cubicle and deep soaking bath, is also located on this floor.

A further flight of stairs takes you to the second bedroom, a king-size room which enjoys views over the town.

Trinity Street is a location steeped in history with the 17th-century museum one of the UK’s best preserved Tudor buildings.

Nothe Fort, located close by, is Weymouth's number one heritage attraction.

Located at the entrance to Weymouth Harbour, the Fort offers excellent 360-degree views across Dorset's Jurassic Coast with its informal gardens some of the most beautiful the town has to offer.

Weymouth’s award-winning sandy beach is a popular spot for swimming and water sports, making it an ideal destination for families and visitors of every age.

Alongside a wide range of pubs and restaurants, there are traditional attractions including pedalo boats as well as impressive sand sculptures during the summer months.

When it comes to making the most of your stay, the Land Train is a fantastic way to discover Weymouth taking in a circular route including the seafront, the iconic lifting bridge and historic harbour, the Esplanade and many of the town's popular tourist attractions.

At the end of the esplanade, the Pavillion Theatre offers a packed programme including world-class comedians, live music, opera, ballet, musicals and drama with something to suit everyone and a great way to make your holiday a memorable one.

When it comes to days out, a visit to Lulworth Cove offers spectacular scenery including famous landmarks such as Durdle Door with the Swannery at Abbotsbury, a unique natural wildlife habitat and a sanctuary for 600 mute swans, a popular choice for nature lovers.

With great beaches and so much to see and do in the area, Harbour Retreat offers excellent accommodation in a wonderful location, at any time of the year.

Please note that the staircase to the top floor bedroom is narrow and fairly steep, although there is a handrail. Please bear this in mind when booking as this bedroom may not be suitable for the guests with mobility issues
