“We had a great week in lovely accommodation but very disappointed that, even following ALL instructions -the hot tub wasn’t maintained and became unusable by the last 2 days.”

It was one of the main reasons for choosing swallows nest.

We're pleased you enjoyed our barn, but disappointed that you didn't enjoy the hot tub. The hot tubs are maintained every day and had fresh clean water for your arrival. We checked the pH daily and also had to top the water up each time, however it was noted that the water became very cloudy after use. Unfortunately, if it is very bad, due to body/hair products/detergents on costumes, then the only thing we can do is to empty it which takes a full day. I always explain this to guests and it's rarely a problem. My son had been taking care of the hot tub until Thursday, when unfortunately, his partner had a major life-threatening accident at 6am and she was airlifted to Southampton nuero ICU where she has been for 3 weeks. Because of her condition my son omitted checking the pH on Thursday so we can only apologise for that. Property Owner

About the location

STURMINSTER NEWTON

Blandford Forum 11 miles.

The small, attractive market town of Sturminster Newton is set on the banks of the River Stour, reached via a graceful, six-arch, 15th century bridge, carrying a warning of deportation to those who may damage it! The whole area acted as inspiration for the works of Thomas Hardy, who wrote Return of The Native whilst living in the town. The region is dotted with thatched cottages, rural walks, stunning country views, and fascinating towns, such as Sherborne, with its abbey and castle, whilst the beautiful Dorset Heritage Coast is also within easy reach, making this an ideal base all year round!
