    “Good accommodation with all the facilities needed for a pleasant stay.”

    Great off road parking and an excellent location to explore the region. Stourhead, Salisbury, Bath, Sherborne are all within range and good walks too. We also enjoyed visiting Langford lakes nature reserve towards Salisbury. The pub across the road from the cottage is also well worth a visit with good food.

The property benefits from an open-plan living space with high-quality fitted units and sleek wooden worktops providing plenty of preparation space for preparing your meals, with a convenient dining table to gather of an evening.

Unwind in the sitting room with some of your favourite shows, a movie or simply catch up on the day's events.

Take a refreshing drink out to the shared gravelled seating area during the summer months and delight in watching the sun set with a spot of alfresco dining.

Resting in a lovely location with plenty of charm, this property is situated on the outskirts of Motcombe which offers a community shop and post office for picking up those last-minute essentials.

Shaftesbury Abbey Museum and Garden is nearby with a medieval orchard and extensive herb garden to explore.

Make sure you take the opportunity to explore the superb Cranborne Chase AONB for a plethora of countryside trails for walking and cycling, also ripe with wildlife for birdwatching and plenty of photography opportunities.

The thriving village of Motcombe lies on the edge of North Dorset’s Blackmore Vale, just 3 miles from the ancient hilltop town of Shaftesbury. Motcombe has its own friendly community shop, post office and well-regarded country pub, The Coppleridge Inn. The local town of Shaftesbury, with a good range of shops and inns, is perched on a spur of rolling green hills with spectacular views reaching far across the rural landscape. One of the best vantage points is from Gold Hill (instantly recognisable as the setting of the iconic Hovis advert with its quaint, cobbled and very steep street. Motcombe sits amidst rolling countryside at the edge of the picturesque Blackmore Vale, and close to the Cranborne Chase AONB as well as many other areas of natural beauty and exceptional heritage, including the National Trust’s Stourhead. A wonderful location to explore the best of the West Country, and only just over an hour’s drive to the stunning Jurrassic Coast.
