    “Absolutely loved staying here!”

    Opening the curtains to such a lovely view, even though we had mixed weather of rain, we still enjoyed our stay. Beautiful area. Very quite, very near a small beach area, great for our dog. The Rodwell walk that goes in front of the property is a lovely walk into Weymouth, approx 2 miles. The lounge area is so nice with comfortable sofas, view and veranda. The under floor heating was a treat coming in from the cold, and the dinning area was also very nice. Although chairs very wobbly. The ...

The issue I would say for us was the kitchen, although having everything you needed, it was a little dated and in need of a "deep clean" the fridge smelt damp, and the bin was mouldy. We also had a problem with the shower not draining, but that was sorted promptly by the team, and while there, sorted another issue, all handled quickly. Which was excellent. We would definitely come again.

The property

Water’s Edge is a wonderful three storey modern house lying adjacent to wonderful coastal walks in Weymouth and has direct stunning sea views spanning across towards the Isle of Portland. Set is a quiet location on the edge of Portland Harbour at Ferrybridge, the southerly tip of Weymouth just before causeway leading across to Portland, with a small beach right at your doorstep, it’s a perfect base to enjoy your holiday with friends or family. The property is well equipped with warm elements in the interior throughout.

It now has open plan downstairs with underfloor wooden flooring.

It also now has a wonderful front deck facing directly to sea, Perfect for seating with morning coffee or doing a spot of meditation or yoga.

Start the day with breakfast in the modern ground floor kitchen or step outside and breath in fresh air.

With quality furnishings throughout, you will have a good night’s sleep and will be ready for daily adventures exploring the area or just basking in the sun.

Portland offers a rugged charm with cliff top walks, wildlife and the wonderful Chesil beach to comb and look for a few lost treasures.

As the property welcomes dogs, you might want to take an invigorating walk along the beach or amble along the ‘Rodwell Trail’, an old railway line which takes you to the town centre.

A couple of miles walk will take you to the array of restaurants, shops, other attractions that Weymouth has to offer as mini golf, Pavilion shows, cinema.

Weymouth’s golden sandy 3-mile beach is bustling with people in summer, so if you wish to be in a quieter location, Water’s Edge is the perfect choice. Meet the fisherman fishing right from the beach at night, listen to the tales from the locals as they know best when the fish are ready to bite. Explore Dorset and venture along the coast East to find stunning Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Kimmeridge bay, Chapman’s Pool.

Take a drive West and be amazed by the red cliffs of West Bay and the tallest South coast cliff of Golden cap. Water’s Edge will suit those looking for a well-equipped holiday home in a quiet location.

WYKE REGIS

Weymouth 2 miles; Dorchester 9 miles.

Wyke Regis is a village on the south western side of Weymouth that sits on the northern edges of Portland Harbour and reaches as far as the back of Chesil beach and The Fleet, just two miles from the centre of Weymouth. There are local shops, cafés and restaurants including the famous Crab House café, with it’s own oyster beds on the doorstep. The National Sailing School, an Olympic legacy, offers a wide variety of water sports and is just two miles away on the edge of Portland Harbour. The Fleet Lagoon that runs between Wyke Regis and Chesil beach is an important area for wildlife and there are many species of birds to be seen in the area, whilst Chesil beach is also a renowned spot for fishing. The Fleet is probably most famous for being the testing ground for Barnes Wallis’s bouncing bomb, immortalised in the film the Dam Busters. Wyke Regis is the perfect location from which to explore many of Dorset’s most iconic locations on the Jurassic Coast.
