00 in the pouring rain to find the house occupied!!! We had all the correct paperwork from Sykes Cottages and the people in the house had all the correct paperwork from Airbnb. Extremely frustrated and shocked to discover that the owner had double booked the property. We had no option at that time of night but to check in to a local hotel on the main street for 2 nights until the house became vacant in 2 days time. This cost us £600 for 2 rooms for 2 nights. We received no acknowledgement or apology from the property owners and in fact have only been reimbursed £300. Sykes Cottages have told us that the owner has refused to pay the balance. The house is extremely small and we found it cramped for 4 people. Location is superb.
