“We had a good long weekend at Olympic cottage however there were a few issues that arose over the weekend.”

Better instructions are needed to explain were the parking space is, my husband only found it after he took the dog a walk on the Saturday morning. The safe key isn't easy to open which is made more difficult by the position it is in, if someone is less mobile, can't bend down easily, it would be extremely difficult for them to access. When we opened the dishwasher there were dirty plates & cutlery left, unwashed, in it. We also had to wash some of the mugs from the cupboard before we could use ...

We also had to wash some of the mugs from the cupboard before we could use them, they were dirty. Black out blinds are needed in the bedrooms, the blinds that are there don't block out any light making it difficult to sleep. There is also a lot of traffic noise from the main road which is loud in the main/front bedroom. The shower needs replacing. The controls are extremely stiff we all struggled to turn it on/off & to adjust the temperature. The shower head itself doesn't look clean because of all the scale on it & it can't be adjusted. The main bedroom could do with a dressing table & chairs to do hair & make up, I had to sit on the floor & use the bed! There wasn't a hand towel in the downstairs toilet. Luckily we had a spare because there were only 3 of us. We've stayed in a lot of holiday cottages over the years and although we would stay in Olympic cottage again it wouldn't be our first choice we'd only book it if there wasn't any where else.

I am pleased that you had a good stay and thank you for raising these issues. The off street parking space is a few yards away from the house and we will ensure it is made clearer in the joining instructions. Parking on the pavement directly outside the house for a short while to load and unload is fine. The crockery should all have been clean and I will let housekeeping know to check this more carefully and also hand towel provision. We stay at the cottage a lot over the winter and I had cleaned the shower head but will check again and to see why it had become stiff to use. We have replaced all the garden furniture this spring and I hope that you were able to enjoy the garden and short walks to the beaches. Property Owner
