The property

Resting in the pretty village of Burton Bradstock lies The Granary, a newly built stone property beautifully presented throughout, making an ideal base for a family or group of friends looking for a relaxing holiday in the wonderful Dorset countryside.

Sleeping six guests and sitting right on the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline, this picture postcard location is full of pretty thatched cottages, a local village store, post office and traditional public houses.

Stepping inside the property, the large kitchen/diner is well-equipped with all you need to cater for your party, whether you choose to rustle up home-cooked meals to be enjoyed at the dining table whilst you plan your holiday itinerary together, or to just sit with your morning cup of tea or coffee, throwing open the patio doors and gazing out onto the lawned garden.

Catch up on your favourite TV shows in the living room or delve into that book that you have been meaning to read for so long, and cosy down on the sofas in front of the warmth of the woodburning stove, before climbing the stairs and retiring to one of the three light and airy bedrooms; one a double with an ensuite shower room, a further double room and a twin room.

A family bathroom consisting of both a bath and overhead shower, allows you to indulge in a long soak after a busy day exploring the local area or have a quick freshen up before heading out for a spot of dinner at one of the village public houses.

Burton Bradstock is a small village located on the Jurassic Coast road, between Bridport and Abbotsbury and just a short stroll away from Hive Beach, a one mile stretch of sloping shingle and sandbank which runs from West Bay to Portland, making the perfect spot for an afternoon by the sea, or even partake in some fishing - a very popular sport here with the locals.

There are some excellent walks to enjoy and the National Trust cliffs follow the length of the beach, which creates a beautiful backdrop for a stroll along the shoreline, and The South West Coast Path runs parallel to the edge of the cliffs, in either direction, rewarding hikers with spectacular views across Lyme Bay and along the coast.

You will find family attractions such as Abbotsbury SubTropical Gardens and Swannery just a short drive away, both offering a fun day out for all, and the quirky market town of Bridport is only three miles away where you can discover arts and crafts, unique trinkets and special keepsakes to take home with you.

However you choose to spend your days here on the Jurassic Coast, The Granary provides a peaceful and homely setting for relaxing and memorable staycation in delightful Dorset.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.
