    “The perfect Dorset country farm cottage to which the owners have spared no expense.”

    There is not a single small detail that they have overlooked. No need to worry about what to bring, everything is there, everything works and everything is spotless clean. The cottage is only 10 minutes drive from the coast and well situated for exploring the whole county yet it is so quiet and tranquil. The rear expansive courtyard and front gardens are an absolute delight. A real gem of a rural retreat. No traffic , no noise, no neighbours, only the cows and their occasional soulful ...

    There is not a single small detail that they have overlooked. No need to worry about what to bring, everything is there, everything works and everything is spotless clean. The cottage is only 10 minutes drive from the coast and well situated for exploring the whole county yet it is so quiet and tranquil. The rear expansive courtyard and front gardens are an absolute delight. A real gem of a rural retreat. No traffic , no noise, no neighbours, only the cows and their occasional soulful mooing. A real bonus was that the cottage stayed wonderfully cool inside through this years heat wave. The owners live in the adjoining property and are a lovely couple, not intrusive in the slightest but reassuringly ‘there just in case’ Overall 100% for everything.

The property

Grazeland Cottage is an original farmhouse dating back to 1868 that has been sympathetically converted to provide a completely self-contained holiday cottage. The annex is next to the owner's home and comfort and privacy are a priority with this property being ideal for all ages. Apart from a small step up into one of the bedrooms, it is all on ground floor level.

The kitchen overlooks the large rear patio area and the attached 6 acre paddock with rising fields ahead; whilst the lounge/diner leads to an inviting south facing conservatory overlooking the large, lawned front garden and the rolling hills beyond.

Enjoy a nice cup of tea whilst admiring the green hills of Dorset. Surrounded by the glorious Dorset countryside, it is perfect for walkers.

The nearest beach which forms part of the famous Jurassic coast is only a carefree drive of approx. 5 miles away.

The Shave Cross pub, around 2 miles away, is acclaimed locally.

Bridport with its weekly market and interesting mix of high street and old curiosity shops is worth a visit being a short drive away.

Grazeland Cottage is well placed for reaching Dorset's tourist attractions or alternatively it provides a haven if you prefer to simply enjoy viewing the calm of the countryside from the comfort of your arm chair.

This property is perfect for a romantic retreat but offering time to explore the rolling hills of the countryside.

Guests have use of a small enclosed yard to exercise their pet and are welcome to use the rest of the gardens and field where the owners' dog, cats and chickens roam freely.

BRIDPORT

Lyme Regis 10 miles; West Bay 2 miles.

The attractive market town of Bridport grew up around the River Brit, and was shaped by its extensive history of rope and net making. The long, wide streets and alleyways between the houses were once where the flax strands were twisted into rope, while today those streets are filled with an interesting variety of shops, restaurants and inns. Bridport’s market is regularly featured on the River Cottage TV programme. 2 miles south of Bridport is the dramatic Jurassic coast at West Bay, now a World Heritage Site, home to the backdrop for TV's Harbour Lights and the coastal setting for popular Broadchurch, whilst the picturesque resort of Lyme Regis is within 10 miles. A superb base for exploring wonderful West Dorset.
