The property

Harbins Farm is an impressive detached farmhouse dating back around 200 years, set within the Dorset countryside just outside Sherborne,on the edge of the sought‑after village of Glanvilles Wootton, Sympathetically refurbished throughout, it has been transformed into an impressive holiday home, ideal for memorable family gatherings or relaxed stays with friends.

The result is a home that strikes a pleasing balance between original character and spacious, contemporary living, finished with a number of stylish, well‑considered touches. At the heart of the house is a generous open‑plan living and dining area, perfectly suited to both everyday living and entertaining.

A large dining table sits comfortably within the space, while a log burner adds warmth and character.

The adjoining kitchen is a standout feature, fitted with marble worktops, a large range cooker, integrated appliances and a central island, ideal for informal dining or food preparation.

From here, the accommodation flows into the main sitting room, also centred around a log burner, before leading through to a bright garden room with patio doors opening onto the gardens.

Practical features have been carefully incorporated, including a utility and boot room housing laundry appliances, alongside a convenient ground‑floor cloakroom.

Underfloor heating runs throughout the property, providing comfort in all seasons.

Also on the ground floor is a self‑contained area, well suited to guests or multi‑generational living.

This comprises a twin bedroom with zip‑and‑link beds that can be arranged as a super king if preferred, an en‑suite shower room, a second sitting room, and a useful kitchenette with breakfast bar and doors opening directly onto the garden. Stairs rise to the first floor, where a spacious landing with glass balustrading leads to four further bedrooms.

The principal bedroom is a king‑size room with an en‑suite shower room, complemented by a second king‑size bedroom with an iron bedstead, a comfortable double bedroom and a twin room.

These are served by an elegant and spacious family bathroom with bath, separate shower, wash basin and WC. Outside, the gardens form a real highlight.

South‑facing and attractively landscaped with lawns, mature trees and pretty planting, they enjoy open views across the surrounding countryside, with a small brook gently running through the grounds.
