The property

Bredy Cottages offers a striking combination of character and contemporary design, resting in Burton Bradstock.

Its classic brick exterior reflects the area’s traditional Dorset feel, while the interior reveals a beautifully reimagined space.

The entrance hall leads into an impressive open-plan living area, where vaulted ceilings, skylights, and polished concrete floors with underfloor heating create a bright and inviting atmosphere.

Bi-fold doors curve around two sides of the room, opening to a spacious decked terrace, an ideal setting for a morning drink or an evening unwind. A few steps up, a snug featuring exposed beams, wooden floors, and a woodburning stove provides a charming retreat for quieter moments after days spent exploring the Jurassic Coast.

Practical additions include a ground-floor utility and boot room, along with a dedicated laundry room housing a washer and dryer. The bedroom layout is thoughtfully planned.

On the ground floor sits a double bedroom positioned next to a bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The first floor offers two further double bedrooms with views over the countryside and garden, sharing a contemporary wet-room.

The master suite presents an impressive open-plan layout with a freestanding stone bath, wash basin, and discreet WC, offering a particularly special space. To enhance the open and airy feel of the property, skylights have been fitted without blinds, allowing natural light to illuminate the rooms throughout the day and offering ever-changing sky views whether waking up or relaxing in bed. The outdoor area continues the sense of tranquillity and space.

The decked terrace leads down to a natural freshwater pool surrounded by lawns, mature planting, and established trees.

On warm days, guests can step out to dip their toes in the cool water before relaxing beside this unique garden feature. Despite its private setting, the cottage lies a short walk from Burton Bradstock’s lively centre, home to The Parlour Italian restaurant, Modbury Farm Shop, and the well-known Hive Beach Café.

The Three Horseshoes and The Seaside Boarding House also offer excellent dining options nearby.

With the Jurassic Coast on the doorstep and Hive Beach only moments away, visitors can discover West Bay’s dramatic cliffs or take a short trip to Lyme Regis, famed for its fossils and cultural attractions. Whether it’s coastal walks, scenic viewpoints, or enjoying locally sourced food, this corner of Dorset offers an exceptional backdrop.

With off-road parking for two cars and additional lane-side spaces, Bredy Cottages provides an outstanding setting for a memorable stay in one of Dorset’s most sought-after villages.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £400.
