Fantastic location in the heart of Weymouth

This was our first stay at the upside down house,the property was lovely and clean and handy for the beach and town.

It was great not having to use the car we all enjoyed ourselves

Perfect place to stay for us and our young children.

It's a lovely property and ideally located.

Would definitely stay again. A suggestion might be to have some portable fans when the weather is hot. The seagulls are a noisy bunch so when windows are open at night (even with ear plugs) they can be heard. It didn't spoil our holiday of course and only a suggestion. The facilities were great, everything you need and the pubs nearby along with Bennett's Fish n Chips are a bonus.

Fifth time here and can't wait to get back next year.

Loved the location very convenient lots of things to do around the area, the style of property we were very pleased we stayed here.

Had everything we needed and a lovely welcome box of goodies which we enjoyed. Nice private rear garden could make more of this facility.

Would certainly recommend this property. Comfy beds and everything you could need as well as a welcome box. The owner was extremely helpful with a washer/dryer problem and had a new one delivered the next day. Thank you for the wine and chocs. Lovely dog walks up the Nothe with plenty of places to sit and just veg out. Private place to sit in the sun at the rear of the property.

It’s a lovely property with the lay-out spot on.

Sociable living area so everyone can chat whilst prepping, cooking and eating. Rooms downstairs are all lovely with comfortable beds. We were very happy with the week we had but if I could offer a little constructive criticism it would be 1) The single bed frames all seem like they need tightening up to prevent squeaking with every move. 2) The shower head and cubicle in the bathroom could have been cleaned better-descaling 3) The door latches all look lovely and in keeping with the overall look but if anyone went loo in the night the catches and floorboard outside the twin room woke others up. I hope this doesn’t upset anyone as we really did love the place. Would highly recommend the place and would love to return in the future.

What a lovely house and time we have had and we will certainly be booking again, a central position for everything that we could possibly want or need and yet a lovely and quiet place, the house is very spacious with more than enough storage to live properly and not out of a suitcase to store the clothes for our we week away and would highly recommend the property to anyone wanting to get away for a relaxing holiday

Loved the property, the open plan living area / Kitchen was so airy and bright.

Decor throughout was tasteful, everything you needed for a home from home. Real positive was the location by the old harbour, the fact that you could park directly outside the property was a bonus and being gated. A couple of negatives the water never really got above lukewarm, not great when you have just travelled for 10 hours and wanted a hot bath, we did turn the temp up on the boiler, but didn’t make a huge difference. The shower cubicles walls didn’t look like they had been cleaned for months, but the rest of the house was spotless! The bathroom fans were extremely noisy and the one in the main room worked intermittently. The kettle needs replacing as it had a faint smell of burning. Overall a wonderful stay

We love the Upsidedown House so much, It’s lovely and homely and very spacious.

The kitchen is very well equipped and we love that the kitchen, dinning area and lounge is all open plan. Having a washing machine as well is a huge bonus. It’s so nice being 1 minutes walk from the harbour and so close to so many restaurants, it’s a real treat to not have to jump in the car to go out for the evening. We are booked in for a week again next summer and we can’t wait for that week to arrive. There’s only one thing that maybe could be added to the property to help out doggie owners of small dogs and that would be some chicken wire or something similar on the gates in the garden. Although my dog would not stray far at all she could fit through the gaps in the gates. Thank you for allowing a dog at your property though as we couldn’t imagine a holiday without her.

Very comfortable & has everything you need. Wonderful having 2 parking spaces....as don't need cars to get about town & beach.

Our numerous visits to the Upsidedown House have never been less than perfect, we'll be back there soon.

We have had a great stay at The Upside Down House. Few little niggles, boiler problem but was promptly fixed. Few ants but it's an old building. Lovely touch with the welcome pack and milk. Comfy beds and sofas. Fantastic walks round Newtons Cove and to Sandsfoot Castle. Highly recommend the Nothe Tavern for meals. 5 star and have already booked to come back next year.

Lovely property, great location.

Everything you could want, and the property was very clean and comfortable. The big open plan living space was so bright and airy, but as it was quite a cold day when we arrived, we could have done with the heating being turned up in anticipation of our arrival as it is a big space to heat. Nonetheless, we had a really lovely weekend. The welcome hamper was a really nice touch.

We come to Weymouth twice a year to visit family and this house definitely ranks in our top 3 places we've stopped in.

Location is fantastic, 2mins walk and your right by the harbour. Very quiet too especially given the location. Great layout being all open plan and great parking; secure and plenty of room for 2 big cars. Hamper on arrival was a lovely touch too. A couple of very minor things (sorry) The Fire exit door was unlocked, which we didn't notice until day 3. The stairs are quite Steep, you just have to be extra careful, maybe a handrail on the other side would be useful, especially on the turn as we did slip a couple of times. Would definitely stay again if it's available!

We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

The house was very comfortable, quite, clean and well equipped. The location is superb, with Weymouth marina and town centre just a few minutes walk away and Chesil beach and Portland a little further but still easily walkable. Even though it was very cold outside (November) the house had great central heating which made it very warm and cosy. The house is located in a small complex which has security gates and the parking spaces are a real bonus given the lack of spaces in this central location. We would stay again without hesitation.

After staying for many years in other Kellaway Court property, we have decided to try the Upsidedown house this year.

It was looking great on the advert and the second parking place was a bonus. However, the reality was very different. The bathrooms are in need of refurbishment, no soundproofing through the house (complete nightmare!), uncomfortable mattresses - these are just a few smaller things. This property is not a dog or older generation friendly. The staircase is so steep that we end up to curry our cocker spaniel up and downstairs (same for a patio exit). After 3 days this was too much and we have decided to cut our holiday short and to comeback home. Such a shame as a location is great.

We had a wonderful stay here.

Love the balconies off the living room, in the sun nearly all day. We didn’t use the little garden area but it’s perfect for the dog. We would really have liked a double bed in the second room as the wooden framed singles make it impossible to put together but we knew that when we booked. A whole fridge and whole freezer made self catering much easier so that’s a boon. Very well positioned to walk to any parts of Weymouth, the harbour walk and walking up to Nothe fort is lovely. Also the walk to the other side of the headland to see the Olympic viewing sight and Portland not far away.

We love this property and have stayed here several times now.

We have stayed in many properties, some luxury around the harbour including Santiago House in Kellaway Court.

The upsidedown House is by far our favourite and whilst there we booked to come back next August. (We like to stay at different houses but we felt this would be hard to beat!) The House itself has a lovely welcoming, homely feel that has been tastefully designed! The best well equipped kitchen we’ve stayed in. We can’t thank the owners enough as our children were in their element watching Netflix! A big thank you for the lovely hamper which included some luxury truffles, biscuits, ground coffee, tea, sugar and strawberry jam as well as fresh milk-a real bonus. In all a beautiful, very clean home which is tucked away with the bonus of 2 parking bays. We can see why this property gets booked up very quickly, as it’s good value for money.

It was our second year of staying in the upside down cottage and we love it so much that we are booked in for a week in August next year as well.

The only thing we wish was different is that we are only aloud to bring one dog. We have two small Cockapoos and would have loved to have been able to bring both with us as they are both very well behaved. Other than that the house is perfect for us and in a great location, we’ve been coming to Weymouth every year for 30 years and this is the best property by far that we have stayed in. The welcome gift box was a lovely surprise this year as well and enjoyed by all of us. Roll on next August as we can’t wait for our next visit.

The Upside-down House is a fantastic property with everything you could need to hand A great location near to bars, restaurants, harbour , Nothe Fort and gardens.

It has the added bonus of off street private parking for 2 cars right outside. I think the fact the property has quite a large outside space should be publicised more. Always enjoyed our stay at the property. The food hamper and fresh milk was a nice touch.

Absolutely great location!

House itself was very spacious and clean. A few signs of wear and tear about the property, but that didn't detract anything away from a really enjoyable stay!

Excellent location. Very roomy.Comfy sofas. Good showers. Saucepans & trays were worn & grubby & need some oven gloves! Window to left of upstairs door would not open. Minor whinges. Would definitely stay again but you are booked up already! Thankyou for a great holiday.

Firstly we really enjoyed our stay.

The property is in an excellent location and ideal to explore other areas. Really liked the electric gate which provided additional security. The property is very airy and nicely laid out. I would have liked a couple of hooks in bathroom to hang towels (the bar being used for shower mat). The squeaky floorboard outside bedroom two should be fixed. We had to report a leak from the boiler or surrounding area. The maintenance chap checked all ok and said we can continue to use shower etc. Overall a lovely holiday property which we would all gladly recommend.

Beautifully presented property with a very light, spacious living area.

Apart from a well supplied kitchen there were books, games and jigsaws (came in handy on our first very wet and cold day and during some evenings). The house was very quiet despite being in the heart of Brewers Quay. Perfect location. A lovely thought to have a welcoming gift of a hamper containing coffee, tea, sugar, milk, biscuits, jam and chocolate (courtesy of Dorset Happy Hamper); very pleasant surprise.

Great space for families.

The upstairs space was super for a family with a dog and baby. Location superb. Right next to the harbour and a very short distance from the town and beach. But tucked away in a corner so also nice and quiet. We will definitely be back

Had a lovely time in Weymouth with the family,the upside down house is very comfortable we received a hamper on arrival which was a very nice touch we had a problem with the hot water and heating and it was sorted out promptly.

..and the upsidedown house played a huge part in our holiday. Close to the harbour, close to the pub and close to restaurants. The upsidedown house is the first place we have stayed that we all said we would 100% use again....in fact we tried to rebook for next year whilst on holiday and someone beat us to it the day before.

Fab house with fantastic open plan kitchen/ lounge with a Parisian feel, you will have to rent to appreciate this!

Lots of character/ history to the house/ complex. Gated so secure. Ample seating for 4 adults in the lounge area (parents, a 22 yr old son & 18 year old son all of which are huge, not me obvs

We had a slight issue with the boiler on arrival.

I rang the office which has an out of office message. It said to leave a message which I did. A lovely lady rang back immediately. She had a guy over within 20 minutes who was really nice and had the problem sorted in no time. Really impressed.

We absolutely loved our stay, a lot of thought has gone into making this comfortable.

The highlight is the huge open plan kitchen, dining and living room. Also 2 parking spaces which are easy to access. We will stay again.

We love this house, the upstairs area is well designed and perfect for family gatherings.

It was lovely to arrive to a Christmas tree and a box of goodies. The kitchen area is well-equipped and the seating area comfortable. The bedrooms are spacious, the shower in the en-suite especially good.

Excellent facilities, very comfortable and two car parking spaces are very useful.

We would liked to have booked for next year but the change to Friday to Friday letting does not suit us.

It is worrying that we can't recycle anything.

We have been to the upside down house for quite a few years now as it's such a good location with ideal parking and outside space It's nice to see it's had a bit of a face lift, as was looking tired last time.

It was a pity that some of the brackets for the balcony doors didn't have screws or weren't screwed in. Would have been good to have a summer duvet on the bed as the one we had was very thick and heavy and as it was the hottest week of the year made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. Thick dust behind the bedside cabinets, only found due to plugging in charger. Small points easily remedied that didnt make much difference to a very comfortable and enjoyable Stay. We wanted and would have booked for next year as usual until we realised the same week was over six hundred pounds more. I appreciate the last year or so has been bad for the company and owners alike and expected to pay a bit more but I think six hundred plus is being greedy. Hope to be able to return in the future.

Everything was great really a lot better than we expected.

Kitchen was perfect everything we needed. Totally recommended. Two slight issues for us as a family was the timed heating. It cut off at night and didn’t come back on early enough for us but we worked around it. Second issues is we tried and tried to get hold to Skyes on the Sunday on the 24hr number and got no reply nor on the Monday morning which was stressful as we were trying to extend our booking. However the property was excellent and we will be back definitely.

We had a lovely time and the weather made it a fantastic week away.

The only issue we had was we couldn't find the remote control for the bedroom tv.While searching for the control unit we found a child's sock and pants under the bed with the remote control.We went to office and complained and they said with covid compliant cleaning it was not good enough as we cannot get in to the property till 5pm.Other than that we had a very nice time

Lovely house situated in the heart of Brewers Quay.

The property was very spacious and comfortable and for our group of 5 and our dog, suited us perfectly. Initial issues re a leak from all the rain was quickly resolved and dealt with well by both the owner of the house and Dream Cottages. However, work was being carried out on the adjoining property for the whole of the time we were on holiday. There was extensive scaffolding to the property and the noise was horrendous from 10am until 4pm Monday-Friday. Dream Cottages were made aware of this and I’m awaiting a response from them. While we didn’t let this spoil our holiday, it was completely unacceptable.

We loved the airy open plan of the house, and apart from a couple of lamps that did not work plus the edge of one of the external doors having sharp nails sticking out, enjoyed our break.

The location was excellent, meaning we could swim in the sea every day. We did not use the outside space after seeing someone spray it with weedkiller just after our arrival. That was a shame,

The home itself was lovely, great location and 2 parking bays made life a lot easier for us.

The only things I would like to make you aware of is the fridge is not really big enough for 6 people. An additional drinks fridge or just a bigger stand alone is really what is required for this size property. The washing machine was extremly noisey and we were concerned to use it in case it disturbed our neighbours. Sofas were not greatly comfortable but not the end of the world. The location of the property was what was important to us and for that it ticked all the boxes. We would definately return to this property.

This is a great place so convenient to all local facilities.

We do hav a bit of a problem with the twin bed set-up, it just requires the possibility of being adaptable to make a proper double bed that quite a lot of places have.

Excellent property, small issue of clothes rack broken, but was replaced immediately, excellent service.

Superbly situated in Weymouth, everything about it was great, we will be returning.

Upsidedown House is a well-located dog-friendly property in a gated development with two parking spaces, and with an outside space not mentioned in the property listing - this 'garden' area was ground-floor level, accessed either through a gate by the parking spaces or down an external staircase from the dining area, and had pebbles for most of it but also a small raised terrace with table and chairs.

This garden area was very convenient with our little dog, as it gave her an area to explore that was away from the distractions of the parking area. Upsidedown House is a minute or two walk from the Harbour, with lots of cafes/pubs/restaurants between it and the bridge over to the Town Centre. The property itself was well-maintained, and the areas with hard floors were the best kept - some of the carpets were a little tired / needed extra attention, but being dog-friendly we know this is a challenge. The open-plan living space was huge, bright, and airy. We had windows open most of the time day and night, and were never disturbed by local noise, although staying in September there may be less going on locally than in the summer. You do hear noise through the walls from the next property, as being conversions of old buildings the soundproofing is maybe not as robust as in newer properties. The wi-fi was excellent. The shower stalls in both bathrooms had excellent pressure, but did feel a little bit cramped - we both banged our elbows in our respective bathrooms. Beds were comfortable and with decent linens, and towels provided were of good quality. Welcome basket of teas, coffees, biscuits, etc. was a nice touch. A few of the kitchen items (glassware and crockery) needed re-washing before use, but there were plenty of glasses, mugs, plate, bowls, cutlery etc. for a larger group - we were just two people and a dog. We made use of the washing machine once, but the airer to hang the clothes to dry seemed broken in some way so we couldn't get it to stand up as it should - we propped it up in the bathtub and latterly in a doorway, and it worked okay but was not ideal. The Dreams Cottages team have their office right outside the gates of the Court where Upsidedown House is, and it is convenient to have them close by for questions/issues - we collected the keys from them directly, as they had contacted us during our journey to advise the property's key safe was malfunctioning, and the key safe was fixed within a couple of days after our arrival. We will definitely return to Upsidedown House in the future, as we had a lovely relaxing break, and barely had to use the car due to the excellent location.

This is one of the best houses in Weymouth for my, we are coming for fishing and than is this he best house for us.

It's a home from home place.

Very welcoming plenty of space. Has everything need in the kitchen. Very well equipped. Ideal garden space when we take our dog. Very close to everything you could need shops beach. Fishing crabbing, pubs. Even boat rides. Very recommended and comfortable.

disappointed that kellerway court has gone down hill abit with people putting washing out on balconies electric gates not being repaired and people using the car park as a racetrack on mobility scooters

We have been holidaying in Weymouth for over 20 years and the Upsidedown House is one of the best properties we have stayed in.

the house exceeded all expectations,some property photographs are misleading but upsidedown house was better than the photographs if this is possible,it was everything stated and much more

The Upside Down house has masses of light airy living space so no one feels cramped, especially if there are five or six adults.

What was a pleasant surprise was the patio area outside which was not shown on the description and is a great asset to this property as are the two car parking spaces.

The house was warm, comfortable and well equipped.

The main room on the upper floor was really spacious and ideal for a family Christmas. The owner had provided a Christmas tree and came round with a card and mince pies which were greatly appreciated. The gated parking was very useful and the proximity of the Nothe, the harbour and the town made the location ideal.

It is the third time we have stayed in this property. The recent refurbishments have been beautifully done making our stay even better. An excellent touch of refreshments and biscuits on arrival. We had another fantastic family holiday. The only sad thing being the property is fully booked next when we will be returning to Weymouth.

Very well located house. Spacious and quiet. Good to have safe parking and the food at the pub next door (The Red Lion) is excellent. There were a couple of small 'issues' on arrival that were dealt with quickly and properly, thank you to the Dream Cottages team. I would stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Super accommodation. Perfect for the dog. We reported a small leak in the bathroom - the plumber arrived within the hour.Stairs were difficult for my mother-in-law so have reserved a ground floor apartment for next year.

We have stayed here a few times a couple of years ago. Excellent position for everything going on in Weymouth. Beautiful house so fresh and clean. Fully equipped. They just thought of everything.
