This is a large property, we stopped in September, just two of us so we only used the front bedroom, we found the sheets clean and the bed very comfortable, slept well.

Kitchen clean. Bathwoom clean. The kitchen was equipped enough for us - we just needed the cooker rings and a kettle and work surfaces. Cutlery and crockery as clean as holiday lets usually are. A bank with plenty of plugs in the kitchen for multiple chargers - very welcome, big plus for us. Did not use dishwasher, and there was nowhere to dry washing so didn't use the washing machine either - for us tumble drier rather than dishwasher would be useful. Dining table and chairs had greasy marks in various places that we had to clean. Living room spacious, we used the newer looking sofa and the leather chair, all fine, nice size. Older sofa cover seemed to be stained and looked like it was used by dogs. Leather chair had a lot of scratches like dogs had been at it (hence the throw, we assumed). Carpets in dining room stained a bit. Toilet fine, clean and worked. Bathroom sink has a wooden shelf a foot above it making it impossible to wash one's face, had to use kitchen sink. Bath huge but we felt it was impossible for either of us to safely get in and out so we didn't use it (so no bath or shower for us as the shower is in the middle of the bath against the far wall) - there are hand-holds on the wall but they looked like suction devices so we avoided them. Some cracks visible in bottom of bath. The bath is set in a corner and you have to get over the side which is about 2 foot high and 6-8 inches wide with only those two wall-holds to steady yourself - the sink is next to it on one wall and the toilet on the other. The bath itself is probably 4 feet across by 6 or 7 feet or so (but whatever the measurements, it's huge). Decor generally - cracks in some bathroom floor tiles, paint dust or splashes or some such all around the edge of wooden floors, bits of wall missing here and there, obviously it's an old property that's been renovated. Floor of bathroom is an inch or two higher than hallway so at first we found that jarred us. Heating was all set up, so absolutely trouble free, another plus compared to other places. Not very private - being at the corner of a busy road (lots of walkers, cars) , overlooked at the back, no curtains in kitchen, two windows overlooking neighbours drive with no curtains... very exposed in front bedroom and living room unless you keep curtains drawn. Bathroom window seized in a part-open position; frosted glass but still a bit disconcerting when the windows opens in part onto next door's drive (but mostly the window opens on a blank wall). Glass inner door in kitchen means people at back can see through to hallway. Side windows in living room can see through to hallway unless you keep LR door shut. We did not use back garden, there were wicker chairs etc out there. Front garden - instructions were not to park on it if possible; drive was just about big enough for our car. Dog/fox/cat mess on the lawn so we had to walk around that. Lawns in a poor state but not surprising with the summer we've had. It's on a corner so you need to take care reversing out, but not a big deal. Toilet roll and enough washing up liquid provided. No soap but we bring our own. Fridge clean. Given it 4 stars because it suited us due to size; big clean kitchen; big sofa; clean toilet and bathroom; Netflix on the telly; general location; hassle free heating system.

Great location with garden and parking.

Spa bath not working. Bath has very sharp corner edge which scratched and cut our legs repeatedly. Easily fixed with corner protector. Despite giving party size, bed not made up.

Our 5th stay at Bayview.

Comfortable bungalow in brilliant location close to dog friendly beaches and Hengistbury Head nature reserve . Our Westie loves it here as many options to walk without using the car . Using the shower requires care as situated above large bath which is a bit awkward to get in and out . We are aged 68 and 72but manage ok .
