Tiddlers Cottage

Tiddlers cottage is a small well equiped cottage,with a lovely garden.

I enjoyed sitting under a pear tree on the sunny afternoons while we were there. The owners were very helpful with there local knowledge and fixed up a little problem we had promptly. The stairs are steep and were a problem for my wife who has a hip complaint. But on the whole it is a lovely stay,

Extremely well furnished and all amenities provided. Just wish mattress had been a little firmer.

We had a lovely weekend in this cottage.

The lady owner next door was very informative with places to eat and visit. The weather was lovely and it was really nice to have a garden with sitting area to enjoy the outdoors. Great bathroom and shower and the owners had thought of everything to make our stay perfect. The only negative were the two armchairs in the lounge, as opposed to a small sofa, as they were quite uncomfortable for us being "in our senior years "!

We had an amazing time at Tiddler's cottage.

It is immaculate with absolutely everything thought of by the kind owners who go out of their way to make sure you have a wonderful holiday. However the night before we went I wanted to check if a hairdryer was included, so Googled and saw "Tiddler's Cottage is now permanently closed". We could not get through on the phone to check! The cottage is absolutely wonderful but something had gone very wrong with their on line information!!

What an amazing holiday we have just had in Tiddler’s cottage!

The cottage was perfect with everything thought about from a teapot to a torch in the bedside drawer. Beautiful garden to enjoy too and we had perfect weather so breakfast and dinner enjoyed outside ! The owners are so welcoming and friendly and offered very useful suggestions about where to go and offered chairs to take to the beach which was great! Definitely a lovely area to stay in too , fabulous walks and beautiful scenery. A great holiday venue, thank you!

Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Loved the garden. Would be hard to find a cottage so well equipped. Everything you need to make an enjoyable break.

A most enjoyable stay at Tiddlers Cottage.

The resident hosts next door, made us very welcome. A well equipped cottage, in unspoilt location, with easy access to Bridport and other nearby places of interest to viist. Lovely garden views at the rear, with only cheerful birdsong as background noise.

We could not say more than a wonderful property a little gem in a peaceful area.

Hosts Maxine and her husband were friendly and welcoming.

A charming little cottage exceptionally well thought out and tastefully furnished considering the small space - clue is in the title “Tiddlers Cottage”!

There’s a quiet little patio and lawn area too with table and chairs for morning coffees or Summer sundowners!

Accommodation was good but the arm chairs are not comfortable enough for older people.

The owner's are very nice and friendly. We enjoy our stay and and we look forward to visiting again hopefully to a comfortable sofa.

Tiddlers Cottage is an absolutely beautiful little cottage set in a quintessential Dorset village.

On arrival the cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed for our stay. A welcome tray together with fresh milk in the fridge was a very thoughtful addition. The owners who live next door were welcoming and recommended various places for us to visit, nothing was too much trouble for them.We would definitely recommend this cottage and look forward to another visit.

On arrival, the cottage was spotlessly clean and beautifully presented . The owners were a joy to deal with and very kind and helpful making my time at Tiddlers Cottage so relaxing and peaceful....I would definately go back again anytime and hope to !

Small but perfectly formed, it has been very thoughtfully presented, with great attention to detail, a high-quality finish and was immaculately clean. The hosts were very welcoming. As the property is aimed at couples and makes a perfect romantic getaway, our only suggestion would be a small sofa rather than 2 armchairs to relax on together.

Lovely cottage with a little garden to sit out in.

Very quiet location, might be different when the pub nearby is open (it was unexpectedly closed when we were there). The absence of street lighting in the village meant that the stars were more visible - very romantic. Our time at Tiddlers Cottage was a spur of the moment booking and we were delighted to find a compact cottage with everything we could want.

There was a pretty outside seating area and the owners were welcoming and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The surrounding countryside was scenic and interesting.

For a restful and relaxing holiday this is cottage to hire.

The cottage is beautifully presented and extremely comfortable. An added bonus is the lovely garden with three areas to sit. The owners were delightful and very helpful with tips as to where to eat and visit. We are definitely hoping to return in 2026.

The cottage is lovely throughout and is a ideal place for a couple looking for a base to explore the beautiful county of Dorset and beyond.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tiddlers Cottage tiny yes but very comfortable with everything you would need.

The stairs are steep but manageable. Out host kindly left us milk and a few goodies, greatly appreciated. They also helped with knowledge of the local area.

Tiddlers Cottage was superb!

Super clean, comfortable and ‘oldie worldie’ but had all we needed for a lovely stay for the two of us. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever had! The garden was beautiful and our allocated garden space was private and thoughtfully furnished. It was an absolute pleasure to sit out on our return each day with a cuppa! The owners were delightful and always happy to direct us to the best places to visit. Being located near to the A35 made touring easy but we were far enough away so as not to hear the traffic. Uploders was a small village, very quiet and it was great to have our own allocated off road parking place. All in all we would give Tiddlers Cottage 10/10!!

My wife and I had a very pleasant, last minute break at Tiddler's Cottage and were warmly welcomed by the cottage owners.

The property itself is both quirky and pretty and the gardens are beautiful. However, the cottage is very small and the stairs to the bedroom steep, so it may not be suitable for those with impaired mobility. There is no real storage in the bedroom apart from a slim cupboard without any shelves so some living out of a suitcase is necessary. The village, Uploders, is also very attractive, especially the Dorset stone and wisteria clinging to many of the buildings. It is a shame that the adjacent pub was closed so evening meals required either a trip in the car or self-catering.

Clean and tidy with nice garden and outdoor seating if weather is suitable to sit out.

Lovely very quiet location. Pity the pub just around the corner has closed meaning a drive if you want to eat out. No doors between ground floor lounge and kitchen and first floor bedroom means all sounds can be clearly heard. Dining chairs are very poor, very small and rickety, OK for children but not suitable for adults, particularly if of limited mobility.

An immaculately clean comfortable little cottage- small but perfectly formed and thoughtfully equipped to a high standard. Very comfortable large bed with crisp white bedding. Beautifully maintained gardens at the back and a quiet lane in front.Uploders and Loders are lovely Dorset villages and Bridport is very close. We ate at The Parlour near Burton Bradstock: excellent food.

Charming little cottage.

Well placed in quite pretty village. Ideal for travelling about Dorset’s many treasures. Owners living next-door offered us advice for the best walks and places to visit. Also good ideas in the cottage information folder. Would definitely stay there again.

The cottage is bijou - attractively furnished and decorated.

It is well equipped, obviously cared for. The owners were very pleasant and helpful when we had some car issues. Sadly, the one pub in the village was closed the whole time we were there.

Perfect for couples.

This was my second holiday at Tiddlers and, once again, it didn't disappoint.

A delightful cottage with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Maxine and her husband were on hand with advice and assistance if required. A perfect location for exploring wonderful East Dorset.

Wonderful cottage just as described.

Maxine was a warm and friendly hostess. We much appreciated the hostess tray together with the milk and biscuits. The Crown pub next door excellent for Sunday lunch.

We had a really lovely time staying in Tiddlers Cottage.

It had all we needed and was welcoming and homely. Very clean and nicely laid out. Shower was a bit slippery but having mentioned this to the owner was soon remedied by a prompt provision of a brand new bath mat. Thank you Maxine! My husband and I will certainly consider rebooking next year.

The cottage was an absolute delight and had everything we needed for a very relaxing week.

A well-equipped and comfortable cottage set in a very quiet location with good access to many local places of interest.

Be prepared for limited space but this is compensated for by having good quality equipment and fittings at a competitive price and access to outdoor garden and patio area. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. A king-sized bed is always appreciated as it is surprising how few owners provide beds of good size. The kitchen has everything that you might need to cook well and a recommended pub is very close by for those who want to eat out and not drive. The owners are very approachable and helpful. The local landscape is very interesting and picturesque. The local town of Bridport is full of surprises and has two excellent markets per week.

Maxine was around if we needed her. We ate out locally at the pub next door but one and up the road in the Loders Arms both were excellent. Can highly recommend the cottage.

A very small cottage for a couple or 1 person at max.

I mean REALLY small, but warm, well equipped and with outside space and parking for 1 car. Good value too.

Fantastic little cottage with everything you need.

Great for exploring the surrounding Jurassic coast. The Crown Inn (only 100 metres away) is a small local pub that serves really good food made on the premises - don't forget to book though!!

Tiddlers cottage did exactly what was said on the tin.

A clean comfortable property with a charming outlook. The owners were so helpful, providing secure storage in their garage for our electric bikes and even leaving a book of local cycle rides out for us to peruse.We appreciated the milk and local biscuits left for us.

We had a lovely time at Tiddlers Cottage which was completely relaxing with beautiful surroundings.

The cottages owners although living next door were there if needed and were very helpful...there is a private garden to yourselves. The garden is stunning, we had rain,sun and Babet ! but that didnt stop us sitting out in it. Bridport Market held every Weds & Sat is well worth a visit. We would recommend visiting The Hive at Burton Bradstock, it has the best Fish & Chips and Crab sandwiches and is situated right on the beach.

Ideal for exploring Dorset as within easy reach of the A35, and set in lovely countryside. Very comfortable with everything you need in a holiday cottage.

Ideally situated for exploring the Jurassic coast. Our hosts the owners who live next door to the cottage were so pleasant and advised us on special places to visit. I highly recommend this cottage and hopefully will revisit in the future.

This was a great stay in a lovely little cottage.

The cottage itself was very clean and had all the facilities, equipment and information you needed, the only thing we found a little uncomfortable where the two armchairs in the living room (maybe a two seater settee would be better) that said it is our personal opinion. It was a very relaxing break and thank you to the owners of the cottage who were a fountain of information and made us feel very welcome.

Lovely cottage in quiet village.

Close to the coast with plenty of walks along the coast and inland too. Wish my stay had been longer as the owners were very friendly and helpful advising other places I could visit/walk. If you plan to eat at the pub in the village, make sure you book in advance.

Tiddlers cottage had everything that we needed, the cottage was spotlessly clean, and the lady owner was lovely making sure we had everything we needed, good parking and a very good location for lyme regis and other beauty spots.

This is a lovely small cottage in landscape gardens, patio with table and chairs and gate to a small lawn area.

Very clean, nicely furnished, Owners made us welcome, There was milk in the fridge, some tea bags, coffee, sugar and small box of buiscuits and various other buiscuits. We did enjoy our stay, it was cosy, quaint and peaceful. Thank you Margaret and Patrick
