“The bungalow is in a quite area and is clean and tidy with everything you need for a great stay.”

Dogs loved the garden and we did like sitting out in the evening watching them running around. When it got chilly in the evenings it was nice to sit and watch TV in comfort. Local people are friendly and helpful, as I wanted to take the dogs for a walk but had no idea where there was walks for them. Locals showed me where to go. Only 3 things I would have liked to have had. 1. Somewhere to store the shopping in the kitchen as there is no storage space for food as all. Kitchen units are all full on things that you may need, too much really. Had to move a lot of items into other kitchen units to be able to put food in one half of a kitchen unit. We like to do a weeks shopping at a time so it was hard to put it anywhere. Ended up putting lots of it in the bedroom draws and clothes on the floor of the wardrobe. 2. It would have been nice to have a clothes line outside to dry the washing after the first week. 3. A light for the back garden would also have helped when you have a dog/s, so you can see where they are in the dark.

I can remove some items to make space and put in the high cupboard over the fridge freezer. The spinner clothes line is in the utility room rather than left in the garden blocking the view. Solar lights on the way. Thankyou Property Owner

About the location

SHIPTON GORGE

Bridport 2.8 miles; Seatown 7.2 miles; Lyme Regis 13.3 miles.

The village of Shipton Gorge has its first reference in the Domesday Book of 1086. There is no "gorge" but it is an interesting and pretty village with high banked lanes, lovely houses and a community spirit. There are a number of thatched properties as well as listed buildings, one site of special scientific interest, two small woods and a network of public footpaths and bridleways to be explored. It has an early 15th century church tower, a 13th century font and the exterior is floodlit for much of the year making it an important feature of the village both day and night.
