“The Old Post Office was a great location for a few days in Weymouth.”

Just 10 minutes walk into the centre was ideal. It had all essentials and was roomy. We felt however, that it could have been cleaner. The bathroom, toilet and kitchen were clean as was the bedding. However, cushions and throws did not smell fresh. The tea towel in the kitchen smelt foul so we used kitchen roll. The tv downstairs was only working for dvds which we didn’t want so we had to use the upstairs tv. Also, approaching the Old Post Office we were surprised at the amount of weeds ...

The tv downstairs was only working for dvds which we didn’t want so we had to use the upstairs tv. Also, approaching the Old Post Office we were surprised at the amount of weeds climbing the walls. A few hours work could have much improved the setting for the summer season. We were reasonably happy with it but wouldn’t return.

The property

The Old Post Office is a clever conversion of an original building now presented as a Dorset cottage.

Arranged over two floors, the ground floor living area has an open plan spacious feel with a feature spiral staircase leading to the bedroom and bathroom.

The Old Post Office benefits from parking for two cars and little outside patio area for you to enjoy an al fresco breakfast.

Located in an ideal position for a self-catering Dorset holiday, it is just five minutes' walk to Hope Square, which is bordered with a variety of restaurants, bistros, pubs and coffee shops; to reach the pretty old harbour just stroll for another minute or so.

Following on from the old harbour you will be in the town centre in a few more minutes and the main beach is adjacent.

Strolling from the property you may also explore Newtons Cove, a pretty pebble beach area and The Nothe Gardens great for a picnic on a sunny day.

The Old Post Office is the perfect holiday property in Dorset for a couple; a cosy property perfect for two in a location where you may walk to all the local attractions.
