Just a few minutes' walk from the cottage is Brewers Quay and Hope Square the perfect location for an alfresco lunch in one of the restaurants on sunny days, or a warming drink next to the fire in the pub in colder months.
Amble through Hope Square and reach the historic old harbour where you can observe visiting yachts and fishing boats returning with their catch - fresh crabs are a speciality.
Another five minutes over the opening town bridge will take you to the town centre, with a good variety of shops, restaurants and pubs.
Adjacent is the main beach, which has arguably the best sand for making sand castles and the waters are shallow.
Pixie Cottage is ideally suited for a stroll to the harbour, Brewers Quay, the town centre and beach in Weymouth - all are within a 5-10-minute walk away.
The Sea life centre, Monkey world and the Tank Museum are all within a 30 minute drive and offer a fun day out.
