    “We recently stayed at this lovely house which is conveniently located close to the town centre.”

    It’s a nice spot overall, and the house itself was clean, well-presented, and had everything we needed for our stay. Although it’s not far from the town centre, the roads around the area are a bit of a rabbit warren, so we found ourselves relying on Google Maps to work out the shortest walking route. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis, but as we visited out of season, we didn’t have any issues finding a space. As mentioned in other reviews, the beds weren’t the most ...

Although it’s not far from the town centre, the roads around the area are a bit of a rabbit warren, so we found ourselves relying on Google Maps to work out the shortest walking route. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis, but as we visited out of season, we didn’t have any issues finding a space. As mentioned in other reviews, the beds weren’t the most comfortable, but we were prepared for that. Unfortunately, our stay was affected by a barking dog in the neighbouring property, which was left alone for long periods both day and night. This was quite stressful for our own dog and made it difficult to sleep, so we ended up cutting our trip short by a day. Overall, a charming place in a good location, but our experience was let down by the noise from next door.

The property

This inviting, mid-terrace cottage is located in the well-known resort of Weymouth, along Dorset’s wonderful coastline.

Owl's Rest, which is charmingly laid out over two storeys, is a welcoming spot to call home for a family wishing to get away to this seaside town.

After a day of exploring, look forward to slumping on the sofa and flicking through the Smart TV, or head to the kitchen and get to work preparing a delicious meal while using the electric oven, gas range, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher to clean up!

Gather the party around the dining table or spend the evening outside in the decked garden, chatting away into the night.

Take a quick trip upstairs to find the bedrooms, which include a king-size and a twin, both tastefully decorated with white linens and towels.

Weymouth is a fantastic holiday spot, and because of Owl Rest's central location, you can enjoy the town’s wide array of attractions on foot.

Go for a stroll along the seaside and grab some fresh fish and chips, or if you're in the mood for something more upscale, there are plenty of eateries to choose from.

There are shops for your retail therapy, or if you want to do something more strenuous, join the breathtaking South West Coast Path and explore this picturesque route.

For a delightful getaway to Dorset, Owl's Rest is a fantastic choice.

The popular resort of Weymouth makes an outstanding year-round holiday destination, with a wide variety of attractions on offer, appealing to all tastes and ages. The glorious golden sandy beaches have excellent facilities for all kinds of watersports, whilst from the picturesque, bustling harbour you can take regular fishing trips. A short drive takes you to Portland Harbour, and the rugged “Isle” of Portland, linked to Weymouth by the dramatic Chesil Beach. Visit Dorchester, Thomas Hardy’s “Casterbridge”, only 7 miles away, or take a journey along the scenic coastal road and call in at Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens. Alternatively, just head down to West Bay - the views of the stunning Dorset Heritage Coastline are not to be missed!
