Excellent location near the harbour.

We had a brilliant holiday and felt very comfortable at Fenders. Two little points 1. upstairs toilet cistern took an age to fill which could be a problem with more than 2 guests staying. 2. The garden was very overgrown and would probably feel much bigger with a little TLC.

This is my second time at Fenders and I have booked again next year also!

Everything is great there, just one comment is that it would be good to supply fans in the bedrooms, the front room isn’t so bad as the window can be opened top and bottom but the back room window only opens very minimally and it was really hot in there. Thank you!

Great location, good quality of facilities too.

The only 2 things I would recommend is mattress and pillow protectors in main bedroom and TV needs upgrading, hardly works now. Thank you for the stay much better than where we have stayed before.

Had problem with parking as the nearby car park was under alterations, we did however, manage to park on the street but it was hit and miss where we would get.

Short walk to the harbour so very happy with the position. I did not know untill returning home when I received an email that I should have taken off the bedding. Very steep stairs but it was not a problem for us. They left kitchen roll and a little kit for washing up etc. The bottle of wine and chocolates were a wonderful welcome.

Not keen on steps up to the front door & door mats on the steps, it feels hazardous.

I opened the front bedroom window & managed to shut it once , opened it again the following day & couldn't shut it, my husband spoke to the cleaners to notify it was stuck open. Settee & bed very comfortable. The cottage is close to the beach, shops and harbour with plenty of walks & cafes to choose from

Lovely accommodation, with everything needed for a comfortable stay, and the supply of basic necessities to get started was a nice touch.

A welcome gift started our stay with a smile. Parking can be difficult, and a permit would be helpful as on-street parking near the property is limited. We were fortunate that a space became available shortly after our arrival. Excellent nonetheless.

Everything was perfect.

Just one thing a handle by the key fob would be useful to hold onto when climbing up and down the steps other than that no probs.

Really enjoyed reading about the history of Fenders, it made us appreciate our surroundings even more!

A very welcoming, clean and comfortable property. We would definitely like to book a return visit in the future and we will be recommending to friends and family.

Everything was great except a few things - wasn’t aware there was not a bath which meant we weren’t able to bath our baby but appreciate I must have missed that on the details of the property - the kitchen area got very cold whereas upstairs would be very warm even with the heating on - there was a crack in one of the dining room seats which pinched a guests leg when they sat down - there was damage to one of the walls, by the console table in the dining room

A nice cottage , comfortable and cosy once the heating was setup A quick shortcut to the town adjacent to the pub makes access easy .

Parking can be tricky though . We enjoyed our stay and the wellcome pack was great .

A lovely clean, comfortable and quiet property with a pleasant secure garden.

Roadside parking can be tricky - particularly if coming-and-going a lot ..... but never had to park more than 200m away. Short walk direct into town or to Brewers Quay area. We will definitely aim to book here again when returning to Weymouth.

Fenders is perfect location, the house is lovely and was well equipped.

Bed was very comfortable. Sadly the house wasn’t clean. As soon as we came through the front door, we were met with a plastic wrapper and lots of fur and fluff. I also had to clean the downstairs toilet and clean out the shower drain which was full of old soap and hair etc. I was wheezy for most of the week and I think the fur may have been cats. The sofa cushions need a thorough clean as do the carpets. I’m not one to complain but having read the previous comments, I had to agree and was sad that no steps had been taken to put this all right. I would sincerely like to stay here again but I won’t until there is some assurance that the issues have been put right. I should also appreciate feedback on this matter.

When we arrived there was a stong smell of air freshener, possibly to mask over the normal smell as the days went on it didn’t smell like the air freshener any longer.

The cleaning team could do a lot better, there were cobwebs, things under the sofa and crumbs dotted around the kitchen. I spent a bit of time washing up some cutlery and dishes before using them. The space is enough for 2 adults/2 children but wish they’d provide a stair gate as the stairs are very steep and dangerous for small children to be trusted themselves. Other than that the house is nice enough, well equipt and a great location to spend a few days there.

Had an enjoyable holiday at Fenders , the house is very clean and the beds are really comfortable, the towels are big and fluffy .

The cottage itself was fantastic.

Good lay out, spacious and well designed internally. However, me and my partner decided to keep our shoes on for the entire stay. The hard surfaces were clean, but the carpets and some areas of hard floor were absolutely horrendous. Genuinely didn't look like it had been hoovered for weeks. The first day walking through, I genuinely thought I had slippers on. Words cannot describe just how fluffy, dusty and matted with human and animal hair my socks were after just half an hour. Would recommend, as I'm sure it was just an off week for the cleaner.

Lovely cottage in a great location – a few small improvements would make it perfect!

We stayed at Fenders in May 2025 as a group of four adults and one baby. The cottage is in a fantastic location, just a short walk from Weymouth harbour, which made exploring the area very easy. Do be aware, though, that the walk back involves a steep hill, which might be challenging for elderly guests or those with mobility concerns. We travelled with two cars due to the amount of luggage needed for a baby, and we were pleased to find that we managed to park both cars just outside the cottage without issue. Inside, the cottage is very comfortable. The king-sized bed was lovely, and the twin room was ideal for our group. It had a homely feel, and we enjoyed relaxing there after days out. A few things could be improved to make the stay even better. The kitchen could do with a few more pots and pans – in particular, the only saucepan didn’t have a lid, which made cooking a bit tricky. It would also be nice to have some basic condiments like salt and pepper provided, especially considering the price paid. If you're travelling with a baby, it's worth noting that while a travel cot is provided, it doesn’t come with a mattress – so you’ll need to bring your own. Also, the highchair at the property didn’t have a strap, which was a safety concern. We ended up using a belt to secure our baby. Lastly, the upstairs sink was very slow to drain and couldn’t really be used during our stay – hopefully this is something that can be fixed soon. Despite these few issues, we had a pleasant and comfortable stay and would definitely consider returning to Fenders in the future. A note regarding Skyes cottages - I have emailed them several times during the past few months, and my mother has also tried to contact them several times regarding a separate matter and they do not respond or provide a telephone number. The level of customer care has been very disappointing and I would not recommend them.

We had a fantastic stay at Fenders.

It is a wonderfully positioned house with easy access to the harbour, beach and town. It was super cosy and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We will certainly be back to stay.

Lovely little town house short walk from the harbour.

Plenty of cooking utensils and crockery. Quaint garden and seating area. Weymouth was just lovely, I’m sure I will revisit.

Very comfortable and clean place to stay, and well situated

The location of the property is really good.

Unfortunately the neighbour opposite on frequent occasions had very load music playing early and late at night. We did speak to them about this and it was turned down Both gardens need a great deal of attention. The back garden is very overgrown and not pleasant to sit in. Also the levels of the garden are so uneven and a trip hazard. The accommodation was fine and the bedding was very good. One of the base cushions on the sofa moved and we noticed there was a lot of crumbs and dust collected which hadn't been cleaned. One more thing we felt that the mats on the steps to the front door were dangerous.

Very clean and cosy house.

Good location near the north harbour area only a short walk to the bars, restaurants and beach. One small improvement - the towel rail in the shower room was not working so it was rather chilly in this room, when showering.

everything great and comfortable.

Would recommend washing line outside to peg washing out. Also, shower chair in wet room would be the icing on the cake. Fab location, lovely house and garden, great for dogs and us humans. Would visit again.

3 adults, 1 dog. Only street parking but never had a problem. Small but great secure cottage garden for the dog. Steep but short hill to the house from Brewers Quay. Pubs, food & harbour only minutes away. Would definitely stay here again.

If I remember rightly when I booked the property the price went up in minutes as 2 other people were looking but they were to do with me.

Very underhand.. would never use you.. and I do make sure people are aware.

Ideally situated near Brewers Quay and the hustle and bustle of the harbour.

The really attractive garden was a bonus.I would not hesitate to book this cottage again

Very comfortable. Loved everything about this place. It was a pleasure to stay here.

On initial arrival everything looked good and clean on the surface unfortunately after being there about an hour we noticed food crumbs and dog hair between the cushions on the settee, also my dog lost her ball under the cooker which had a 4" gap under it when I retrieved the ball I was horrified to find mouldy bits of food that had obviously been there some time.

Also outside the backdoor was a smelly rubbish sack left from the previous people I then noticed an accumulation of dust around the base of the double bed and even worse underneath. On the Sunday we notified sykes of our findings and the dust and dirt issues was rectified that day but the rubbish was not picked until Thursday which had attracted quiet a few flies so on this occasion the cleanliness fell short, also the garden needs some maintenance.

Extremely pleased with the service I received from Dream Cottages, the house was as stated, very comfortable, and only a few minutes from the gorgeous Nothe fort/Nothe gardens & Brewers Quay, highly recommend

We had the most amazing stay at Fenders.

It was in a perfect location just 5 mins walk to the harbour side. Fenders was clean and comfortable and has the most beautiful cottage garden which was a little sun trap. We would definitely stay there again. The cottage was also perfectly located for a beautiful dog walk over the fields overlooking Nothe Gardens. Many thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage.

We found fenders to be perfect for us,well positioned,found parking easy because of proximity of car parks and street parking and above all a comfy bed looking forward to returning thank you.

Excellent stay only slight problem the sofa was very uncomfortable.

Lovely place, great location.

One suggestion would be to improve the lighting. All the lights and lamps were very bright and harsh. Since we were there in the winter, we really wished for warm, cozy lighting options for the dark nights.

Cottage was quite small for tjree people and a dog.

Garden was more of a yard. Location was great. Wet room downstairs was a bit of an issue as it took ages to dry and you had to walk through the house with wet feet

The sofa needs replacing as the springs are all shot.

Could replace the master bedroom side tables with much smaller ones to fit in a king size bed. The TV set up is poor and needs updating. Great location.

The property needed a new dose of TLC.

Location and most facilities were adequate. However the main settee was basically on its last legs and needs replacing. Beds were comfortable , wet room interesting, galley kitchen , great for 1 person in the kitchen. However we did enjoy our stay and would return to sunny Weymouth.

Great location, close to restaurants and harbour in a quiet street.

Parking permit was useful a couple of times but we did get local street parking nearby most of the time. Instructions for access to cottage were perfect. We weren't very keen on the wet room arrangement downstairs but glad of the upstairs toilet. The cottage is lovely, with everything you need and the secluded garden an added bonus!

No parking outside was a bit of a problem. Inaccurate key safe number given on directions so couldn’t get in on first day. Had to phone the office. Good location. Easy access to all facilities. Variety of places to eat . Good dog friendly places.

Fabulous location!

Short walk to anywhere. Near to the town and harbour on one side and the sea and Nothe Gardens the other! Excellent dog exercise park about 5 minutes away too with beautiful views! Cottage comes with a parking permit for some carparks although we mostly parked in the road the cottage was on. Very useful having 2 toilets (one upstairs, one down) and the wet room was great. Extremely comfortable cottage (mattress was excellent!) and is much larger than it appears from the outside. Beautiful cottage style garden was a bonus and a real suntrap! Would definitely recommend staying here and we hope to again!

First impressions of cottages wasn't good but once inside was lovely clean and comfortable.

We absolutely adore Weymouth but the cottages are getting really expensive.

Lovely house with an amazing small garden, five minutes walk from the harbour.

We reported an issue with the back door and the fact that the bedroom window broke.

This was all looked at promptly and the guy that came round to access the issues was really friendly and sorted the back door there and then,

The house was very nice.

Everything we needed was provided.The disappointing aspect was the garden.We understood it was a country garden before booking.It was very overgrown and lots of weeds on paths and patios and several dead plants.The garden furniture was very grubby.We were lucky that the weather was very good but we felt unable to use the garden.Dream Cottages contacted the owner and we were offered some compensation which was kind but we would much rather have been able to sit in the garden.I hope some improvement will be made to the garden so other clients can enjoy it.

For the time of the year it couldn’t have been better, parking not great outside cottage, apart from that we had a great stay this is a great location to venture out from.

Everything in cottage was lovely very close to all amenities unfortunately weather could have been better but we still had great holiday my son loved going up to Portland bill one thing that was slightly amiss was lack of cupboard space to put groceries in as I like to do our own cooking but cooking facilities were brilliant would go back again and would also recommend to friends

We had trouble with the shower temperature control, my wife phoned the office and a maintenance man was with us within minutes, excellent service

A great location so close to the harbour.

The issue with the missing car parking permit was resolved quickly and efficiently.

The cottage was spot on for what we needed, both as a comfortable place to stay and a excellent location.

Cottage looked a lot bigger than it was on the video on your website.

Kitchen very cramped only one person could be in at one time and for a family like us who do all our meals normally very uncomfortable. Location was spot on and the garden would have been nice if it were not so overgrown. Bushes needed a good trim, washing line couldn’t turn as got stuck in bush. No broom, did not want to use a large hoover every time. Having been with Dream Cottages for 10 yes plus most time at least twice a year, did not think this cottage was anywhere near as good as some we have had and definitely not worth the money we paid. Sorry.

Had trouble with sewerage and drains and was rectified within 48hrs, which we were extremely grateful for.

Well modernised,everything we needed.Garden a delight,and very well used.The agent was so helpful when we had a problem,our fault,but quickly dealt with and meant we had a perfect last night in Fenders.Weymouth was a great base,and Dorset just lovely.Thank you.

Fenders is a lovely place to stay The garden is a joy.

The cottage is well equipped with some particularly attractive features e.g. choice of pictures, lighting.The location is excellent if you wish to be close to the main events in Weymouth and yet it is in a quiet residential road.
