The Stables, a wonderfully converted two-bedroom thatched roof stable on the outskirts of Preston in Dorset.

With the Dorset AONB, the scenic South West Coast Path and a number of stunning beaches within easy reach, including the glorious sands of Bowleaze Cove set moment away, The Stables is a great place for a couple or a family of four searching for a memorable getaway.

Upon entering the property, you will find a well-presented double bedroom to your left, served by a stylish bathroom featuring a beautiful freestanding bath, perfect for unwinding in after a day of sightseeing.

Next you will find a lovely king-size bedroom with its own gleaming en-suite shower room!

Cook-up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen, with a handy washing machine and a hatch to the sitting room so the designated chef won’t miss out on the conversation.

Serve up a delicious meal in the light and airy dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows welcoming in the natural light and offering views overlooking the garden.

As you wind down your day, gather your loved ones in the contemporary sitting area and watch a favourite family show on the TV.

An external garden building with a games room equipped with a table tennis table, toys and a selection of books and board games along with storage space for paddle boards and bikes completes the property.

The Bridge Inn and Spice Ship are nearby for those nights when you don't feel like cooking, as are convenient supermarkets with a wide variety of goods and the Chalbury Food & Wine shop, where you can pick up your favourite bottle.

Fuel a day of excursions with a hearty breakfast at the Café Oasis or the Lookout Café, each serving something delicious to suit all, before embarking on an adventure along the South West Coast Path, with a wealth of hiking, walking and trail running routes to choose from.

With the neighbouring RSPB Lodmoor and the interesting Jordan Hill Roman Temple, there's much to see and do for both nature lovers and history buffs.
