The property

Waterson is a semi-detached property, with stepped access, tucked away in the coastal village of Osmington Mills.

Ideal for families who love the outdoors, this spacious but basically furnished 3-star holiday cottage is surrounded by countryside and is only a few metres from the coastal path.

Inside you will find three large bedrooms sleeping seven and plenty of living space for the whole family.

The living room is perfect for entertaining and comes complete with pool table and board games.

For those who want to relax there are a variety of books and stunning sea views right from the sofa.

Behind the property is a large country style lawned garden which children and dogs will love.

To the front and side, there is a decked area, and more sea views.

The village of Osmington a mile away from the property has a farm shop, but make sure to check the opening times before going.

The closest co-op is in the suburb of Weymouth, Preston, where you can get the most necessary supplies or you can do all your shopping in Weymouth with few supermarkets to choose from. Osmington Mills is a great base for discovering the county.

A short walk from the property is the village pub ‘The Smugglers’.

This dog friendly pub is steeped in history and serves good food with a small stony beach ideal for rock pooling just a short walk from the car park.

Up the lane there is a horse-riding centre.

To the East you can explore The Purbecks with its rustic rugged coastline, a visit to Kimmeridge Bay, Chapman’s Pool and St.Aldhelm’s Chapel is a must if you will decide to head that way.

Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove are only a 15-minute drive away.

Only a 10-minute drive to the West is Weymouth, famous for its long award- wining golden sandy beach with many events happening throughout the year.

Further on you'll reach Bridport, West Bay, Charmouth and Lyme Regis all within an easy drive and fantastic for fossil hunting!

Waterson and the surrounding area have the perfect ingredients for a seaside family holiday.

About the location

Osmington village, sits on the Jurassic coastline of Dorset, just 6 miles from Weymouth with it’s infamous beach and historic harbour and just 11 miles from Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. Home to the famous Chalk hillside carving of George III on horseback, cut into the hillside to commemorate the Royal visits to Weymouth, this landmark can be seen from miles away. It is also the place that John Constable spent his honeymoon in 1816 and where he completed his painting of Weymouth Bay that now hangs in the National Gallery. The South West Coastal path runs through Osmington Mills, a tiny hamlet on the edge of Osmington. Here many walkers start their coast path walks at the Smugglers inn, where reputedly there are historic connections to smuggling. Be sure to visit to find out all the stories. A short drive will see you reach a local convenience store at Preston. Weymouth offers a larger variety of shopping, eating and entertainment choices.

Note: max 7 people.
Note: please state your requirements for super king-size double room if you wish it to be made up to twin single.
