Avid birdwatchers may want to venture to the nearby RSPB Lodmoor or take a trip to Portland to visit the bird observatory and field centre there.
If you're ready to break away from Weymouth, head along the coast to Chesil Beach, for a long walk with beautiful views, finishing up at Abbotsbury Swannery.
Or take the Jurassic Coaster bus service a little further to West Bay or Bridport (with its twice weekly markets) or maybe Lyme Regis.
The county town of Dorchester has a dinosaur museum and roman remains and vibrant market.
The Corner House provides the perfect base for a Dorset seaside holiday.
