From the moment we arrived, we felt the peace and quiet of the lovely surroundings.

Beautiful accommodation, clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Not too far to access the Dorset coast. Owner was nearby if needed and very friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Cottage is in a great location which is extremely peaceful, a big plus.

It is comfortable enough. We had no towels (there were two of us) other than one small set we found in an airing cupboard, so had to ask for more. The listing on the website is inaccurate - the sofa in the lounge is a two seater, not three seater as in the photos. We never found the shop that's supposed to be 2 miles away, and the pub a mile away has closed down. The secure field is very insecure in several places. Hot water for shower only available by using the booster switch (so no regular on/off setting). There is no information manual for the cottage, I do not want to keep having to ask the owner/caretaker how things work or where they are! We booked this a few weeks ago when diaries allowed us a short 'last minute' break so were extremely limited as to what was available to book. The cottage served its purpose but I would not book it again. We know this part of Dorset very well so the accommodation did not detract from our time away. There is a feeling that the bare minimum has been provided for the money taken, when a little more care in its presentation and accuracy in its listing would make a difference. Unfortunately I left the dog's cooling bandana in the fridge - apologies - I hope it's been thrown away!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cowdea Farm.

The garden was perfect for our dog and toddler and the property was well equipped. We would come back
