“Overall we had a pleasant stay at Toll Lodge.”
The property was fairly clean and comfortable, and although some areas felt a little dated, it didn’t negatively impact our stay.
There are a few things that I think could be improved or described more clearly for future guests. The bathroom extractor fan struggled to clear the moisture after showers, which resulted in condensation building up in the small bathroom and some black marks visible on the ceiling. Updating the fan would make a big difference.

One of the main issues for us was the internet. The property listing stated that WiFi was available, however it was not working during our stay. The owners were already aware of this as advised in the welcome pack and suggested purchasing a prepaid dongle instead, which unfortunately meant an unexpected additional expense while on holiday. As the smart TV also relied on the internet, this feature was unusable too. It’s also worth bearing in mind that some guests may need internet access for work while away, as I had planned to do, and this unfortunately resulted in lost working days for me. I would recommend either resolving the issue or temporarily removing WiFi from the listed amenities until it is reliable again.
It may also help to clarify the description of the garden area, as it is accessed via steps and is more of an elevated balcony-style outdoor space rather than a directly accessible garden.
Aside from these points, we still had an enjoyable stay and appreciated the accommodation overall
