“Comfortable, clean and a well equipped cottage.”

New 2 seater sofa plus another chair has been added. Very comfortable bed. Everything worked well. Bus stops nearby so you don't need to take the car every day. Shops close by. The bath is quite high to climb into so if you are not very mobile or agile this cottage might not be for you. Only negative was some road noise which you could hear in the bedroom.

The property

The Little Cottage is located on the outskirts of Weymouth, Dorset, a bustling seaside resort town.

This charming whitewashed cottage is perfect for a family seaside getaway, thanks to its off-road parking for one car, open-plan living area, and proximity to the town's local attractions.

Relax on the plush sofa with the kids after a day of seaside exploration while your partner prepares a hearty meal in the fully-equipped kitchen.

Later, as a family, you can all sit down to a delicious meal and share stories about your day.

Upstairs, you'll find a king-size room and a twin room, both of which are serviced by a bathroom. Take care of yourself by getting some shut-eye before tomorrow's jam-packed schedule on the coast.

You'll find everything you need for a self-catered stay within a short drive of The Little Cottage, including shops and pubs like The Royal Standard and The Black Dog.

Weymouth Museum, Nothe Fort a Victorian coastal fort with winding tunnels and an open museum, and SEA LIFE are all within walking distance of each other in the town centre.

The famous 18-mile long Chesil Beach is close by, but Greenhill beach is the place to be on a sunny day.

You can learn about the history of the area at the Dorset Museum or the Roman Town House in Dorchester, which is located inland, or visit the 19th-century home of Thomas Hardy, now a National Trust site. The Jurassic coast of Dorset spans 95 miles from Sidmouth to near Swanage and is home to numerous hiking trails, fossils, and natural wonders like arches, coves, and stack rocks.

Choose The Little Cottage in Weymouth as the base for your next coastal retreat.
