The property

Hill View is a delightful two-bedroom home perched in a serene area of West Lulworth in the Dorset AONB and welcomes three visitors who are looking for a coastal escape.

It is a split level bungalow and has off-road parking as well as an enclosed garden to enjoy the lovely views of Bindon Hill.

Enter your new home-away-from-home through the front door and descend to the lower level to find a fully equipped kitchen with all you need for a pleasant self catering stay.

Reminisce about the memories made or catch up with loved ones over a meal and a bottle of wine at the dining table in the living/dining room or move to the plush seating with views over Bindon Hill.

If you would rather spend your evenings outside, head to the outdoor space and relax with a good book or the while making plans for the rest of your holiday.

Choose from one of the two exquisitely furnished bedrooms on the ground floor when it's time for bed.

With a double or single bed, lots of storage, and lovely views, Hill View is sure to create a peaceful setting for everyone.

A sleek bathroom completes the ground floor.

It has an overhead shower so you can wake up feeling fresh and a tub so you can relax after a fun-filled day.

A variety of amenities are available in the village, including a convenience store where you can fill up on necessities and a warm pub called The Castle Inn where you can enjoy a hearty meal and a cold beer.

When you're ready to go exploring, visit Lulworth Cove, which is renowned for its distinctive geology and landforms and where you can see the remains of a submerged forest from the Jurassic period, and take the cliff top walk over to Durdle Door for a dip in the clear waters.

Spend some time at Lulworth Castle, a magnificent structure with a rich history that dates to the 17th-century.

Visit neighbouring sites such as Monkey World, The Tank Museum or Tyneham Village where you can explore the still intact church and school before starting off on the 1 mile walk to Worbarrow Bay for a picnic.

Studland Bay, a favourite with the locals, can be easily reached from Swanage and Wareham, as well as from Poole and Bournemouth via the Sandbanks Ferry, and offers stretches of soft sand, dunes and heathlands where a wealth of wildlife can be discovered.

Visit the historic town of Dorchester, which includes the Roman Town House, the Keep Military Museum, which houses military artefacts, and the lovely Borough Gardens.

Discover Dorset's beauties with a stay at Hill View.

About the location

Wareham 9.1 miles; Weymouth 14.7 miles

West Lulworth boasts some of the most dramatic geological features on the Jurassic coastline and arguably the most photographed locations in the UK. Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door sit at the heart of this area and really are a must see. Lulworth Cove has many little café’s and beachside shacks serving local seafood, ice cream and other delights, as well as several restaurants and pubs from which to choose. There is an Lulworth estate information centre which offers an insight into how the cove and Durdle door were formed and Jurassic history of the region. If you tire of Cove and cliff top walks then Lulworth Castle is a short drive away and offers another glimpse at some more recent history, along with Tyneham Village, and Corfe Castle. This is a really special area and the village retains a lot of it’s thatched cottages and has a real air of a rural retreat.

Please note: The woodburning stove is not in use.
