This lovely, luxurious, two-bedroom holiday home, Quarrier's Rest is found in a quiet side-street about ½ mile from award winning beaches in the wonderful seaside town of Swanage, Dorset.

This property is a great base for a fun-filled, self-catered, relaxing getaway – give your car a rest and enjoy easy access to fantastic sandy beaches, cake and coffee shops, cafes, and restaurants in a town with great access to local services and attractions as well as child-friendly facilities.

Be enchanted by the elegant interior decor, with fully equipped kitchen, where the chosen chef can prepare delicious, home-cooked meals of local Dorset produce.

Then relax in plush sofas with music or a movie in the living/dining area - a great place for the family after a day exploring, or perhaps enjoy a glass of wine while catching the last rays in the south facing, sun-trap, patio garden.

Perhaps follow the South Coast Path up onto the picturesque chalk cliffs of the Purbeck Heritage Coast and enjoy breathtakingly superb views Old Harry Rocks, Poole Harbour and Isle of Wight or take a cliff-top hike to Durlston, the historic Purbeck quarries and Tilly Whim caves, Dancing Ledge, or even the quaint village of Worth Matravers.

The Swanage steam railway is a short walk from the property, where you may take a trip to the beautiful village of Corfe Castle, or maybe take an open-top Breezer bus (in season) to the National Trust beaches and cafes at Studland.

Catch the ferry from Swanage to Sandbanks and explore the town of Poole or take a boat trip to Brownsea Island.

The market town of Wareham is a short drive away. Further afield you have the dramatic Lulworth Cove, fossil hunting at Kimmeridge Bay, or a visit to the seaside town of Weymouth - all nestled within this area of AONB.

The small, family-friendly seaside resort of Swanage is situated at the eastern end of Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast, on the celebrated Isle of Purbeck and is probably best known for its wonderful, gently shelving golden sands. The little town offers visitors plenty of shops, good pubs and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood, and is also well known for its annual jazz festival, which takes place each July. The attractive, Victorian wooden pier offers a great place for a stroll or try fishing, and often used a departure point for divers, it’s a wonderful place to watch the world pass by. The historic Swanage Railway has its terminus in the town and regular nostalgic steam engine trips take tourists for a picturesque 6-mile journey, chugging through lovely countryside to stop just beyond the romantic ruin of Corfe Castle. Nearby Durlston Country Park offers a lovely day out with spectacular coastal walks, dolphin spotting and wildlife watching, together with comfortable viewing points and a well-stocked cafe for a treat after all the fresh air. Take the short drive to Studland, which has one of the finest beaches in the country, surrounded by heathland, together with the regular chain ferry, which crosses the mouth of Poole Harbour to Sandbanks. This truly is a delightful holiday destination at any time of the year.
