The property

Lilliput is a charming detached holiday cottage tucked quietly away in the beautiful Dorset village of Shipton Gorge.

Just two miles from the stunning Jurassic coastline and surrounded by breath-taking countryside, this cottage is amazing base to explore Dorset on foot, by car or on the bus.

For those seeking an ideal country walking base or explorers of our rugged historic coastline to those who seek the peace and tranquillity of countryside and a slower pace of life – it’s a hidden gem.

Sleeping up to six people with three well furnished bedrooms it offers a comfortable hideaway from busy city life. With a sunny garden and terrace, stocked with beautiful plants and bird feeders you'll be sure to just sit back and relax and unwind whilst the birds dance on the feeders.

If you look in the guest book you will seek previous guests listing the bird visitors they have seen, and challenging following guests to do the same.

Once you have relaxed and feel ready to explore further afield, you will find picturesque village of Burton Bradstock with Hive Beach, West Bay with lovely harbour and market town of Bridport.

The property welcomes two well-behaved dogs and the owners are asking not to leave them unattended.

The nearby eating places such as The New Inn, The Anchor and Hive Beach Cafe are all dog friendly. Those looking for more adventure can have a little longer drive to Abbotsbury, the Isle of Portland, Weymouth, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door to the East, those venturing further West will find the tallest cliff in South coast - Golden Cap.

Charminster and Lyme Regis famous for their fossils are close by too.

All this makes Lilliput the perfect getaway at any time of the year for family or a group of friends.
