Arrived to a very comfortable cottage.

Everything you could possibly need for a staycation. We had fabulous nights sleep,the bed and pillows were so comfortable. Only suggestion is too supply a non slip bath mat in the bath when showering also one to step out onto.Nothing to hold onto when getting out of shower. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return

Central location, nice games room for the children, the parking permit for the area is really useful.

Unfortunately I found a pot of urine in the bathroom. I contacted Sykes via the online form (the office was closed), I haven't received a response (one month later). I did speak to Dream Cottages the next day and the cleaner came straight over to remove it (thank you), but left behind a yellow ring where it was placed on the floor. I didn't really feel comfortable staying here because of this experience.

The location for Weymouth could not be better.

Really easy to access everything. The property is well equipped with a selection of things to use. Unfortunately though this is the worst place we have every slept. The beds were horrendous. The metal frames creaked very loudly if you made the slightest move. We had our 2 children sharing the twin room so if one made the tiniest movement it woke them both up. The mattresses were thin so you could feel the bed slats/ metal. We had spent the weekend before camping, and that was far more comfortable! It feels like the rooms have been decorated in quite fresh white paint to make it look nice and then cheap beds put in which is a shame. There are NO wardrobes. Just some hooks. The one small cupboard in the main bedroom was full of bags and a hoover. We were not aware this property is connected to a restaurant and their extractor fan is loud till late, loud staff coming and going, bottles bin being emptied early hours, washing their kitchen equipment in the street. We would not have booked had we had known this. We were prepared for some street noise being central but not this. We were aware before booking that there was no parking with this property but the local parking was horrendous, and it took us a long time on arrival to get a space. As it was August it was particularly busy but 1.5hrs trying to park a distance away was not good. We decided not to move the car all holiday. Would not recommend this place for a family.

Thank you for your valuable feedback and delighted you enjoyed the property’s location which is stone’s throw from the harbour and Weymouth’s sandy beach. The owner takes all feedback on board and has purchased and awaiting delivery of a brand-new king-size ottoman bed with lots of storage below. To keep the bedroom’s as spacious as possible for their guests’ comfort, the cupboard in the master bedroom’s will be emptied to allow more clothes storage and will look into purchasing a hanging rail which will be kept in the games room on the second floor. Due to the property’s excellent location nestled in between beach and the harbour, some noise is expected especially in high season. We would recommend parking in the Pavilion car park just few minutes’ walk away and you can pay by using the JustPark App, then you can come and go as you please if you want to explore the Portland, Jurassic coast and more. We looked forward to welcoming you back to Dorset again soon.
