    “Sailor’s watch, absolutely fabulous.”

    So much so,that on our 3rd day of being there we booked up for next year. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was really clean. We couldn’t believe how big it was inside. We loved the gardens. The view was absolutely gorgeous daytime and night. My granddaughter was so excited every day to see the bridge open and close. It was so close to every thing, practically on your doorstep ! Complimentary tea/coffee/milk etc was a lovely touch as was ...

It was so close to every thing, practically on your doorstep ! Complimentary tea/coffee/milk etc was a lovely touch as was the roses. My granddaughter appreciated the kids toys etc. We accidentally locked ourself out , but the owner was on site in no time at all. Taught us a valuable lesson to always leave spare set in key safe. The only things we found that would be useful in the property is a draining rack. As there’s not a lot of space to put washing up on. Also the top garden window ,one side has a pane of glass missing overlooking the courtyard below. Our granddaughter threw a ball out of this window for our dog and it worried me greatly as the dog could have jumped up trying to retrieve the ball, as could have our granddaughter. It just needs a piece of wood to cover it that side. But it hasn’t put us off staying again. We are already missing being there and cannot wait to return. Thank you to the owners for making our holiday extra nice by providing such a lovely homely place to stay.

The property

Sailors Watch is a Grade II listed property which forms part of a Dutch-style merchant house, overlooking Weymouth’s inner Harbour and historic bridge.This wonderfully converted dwelling has been designed to suit a group of family and friends looking to explore this glorious part of the coast.

Upon entering the property, you are welcomed into a spacious kitchen/diner, where the Range cooker take centre stage before all of the other appliances required to whip up your own delicious evening meals.

A couple of steps lead up from the dining room into the spacious sitting room which boasts uninterrupted views over the inner harbour and the historic harbour bridge, an exciting place for watching the boats go by and the bridge opening to let them through.

As the evening draws to a close, venture up the staircase to find three well-presented bedrooms.

The master bedroom offers a super-king bed and views over the harbour, whilst the twin bedroom and king-size bedroom are tucked away at the rear of the property and situated down a few steps which add to the delightful character and charm of this property.

During the summer months, spend a moment or two within the garden area, where you will find a magical secret garden room, where you can relax in the evening with a glass of wine and catch up on your favourite moments of the day over dinner.

Enjoying this prime location in Weymouth means that everything you need is within an easy including shops, bars, cafés and restaurants.

For those evenings when you don’t want to cook, why not enjoy fresh fish and chips on the harbour side?

Followed by delicious locally made ice creams.

Stroll along the esplanade and enjoy the traditional seaside activities including Punch and Judy shows, donkey rides and much more.

Weymouth’s award-winning beach has soft golden sand and shallow waters perfect for dipping your toes in anytime of the year.
