Lovely well maintained property located 5 minutes walk from Weymouth harbour, highly recommended.

I have booked again for next year!

Dogs had a little garden, there was parking ( Parking in Weymouth can be horrendous) , lovely quiet pad and not a long walk to the quay with its bars and restaurants

Well equipped property, good quality kitchen utensils, everything we needed was catered for Location is great, a short walk to newton’s cove ( a shingle cove with good swimming and a few rock pools) Short walk to harbour and approx 15-20 minute walk to Weymouth beach Would recommend to anyone looking for a decent accommodation

Always a great stay at rockpools been going for several years now lovely and clean beautifully fitted out everything you need for every occasion I’ll be visiting next year location great for the fourt and lovely park area

This holiday home was ideal for us.

The home has every thing you could need for a comfortable week. My wife inadvertently left one of her shoes behind. A quick call to the owner and it was retuned, in the post no hassle. The owner could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended and we are considering booking again for next year.

The house is in need off a deep clean thick with dust everywhere and the pillow protectors are disgustingly dirty I have sent pictures and videos off all the dust we are not people that complain but that house was dirty tidy but very dirty the garden also needs a good sweep little stones everywhere moved the settee outside to be able to get to the outside tap honest I don’t think it has ever swept up would not stay there again due to the cleanliness off the place.

Our second stay at Rockpools , everything you need is there, very comfortable Fresh milk , local jam , biscuit’s , soft drink & enough tea & coffee to get you started is a lovely touch Bridget contacted me the night before to say we could check in early , which was nice, The weather wasn’t on our side , but Rockpools is a lovely place to be till the rain stops

We had a lovely week , the house was spotless, well equipped, & comfortable .

we come to Weymouth twice a year & started staying in The maltings because the allocated parking is a god send & close to our favourite place Newtons cove & gardens , we would definitely stay here again , only issue was that the T.V signal was very bad , screen freezing & limited channels , retuning didn’t help , not really a issue in summer but winter time you tend not to go out in the evening , luckily We signed in the our Netflix , the welcome pack & milk in the fridge was a lovely touch

Loved our stay property warm and very comfortable.

Location amazing for easy walk into town. Handy area to let the dogs have a run a few minutes from the property and the beach is all dog friendly out of season and both ours loved it. Booking again very soon

A well equipped clean and modern house.

Well situated for walking into the town centre and lovely walks along the coast. A car parking space. A very pleasant place to stay.

Rockpools was a lovely place to stay.

It was clean, comfortable and ideally situated. One of the biggest bonuses was having a designated parking space. The welcome booklet was very informative and helped us to navigate the area. We would definitely stay again.

Had a great stay if there was only one thing I could change it would have been fridge definitely not big enough and wasn’t very cold milk and food were going off after a couple of days it also leaked water over everything but I don’t want that to define the stay it was a great comfy house

A delightful little house in a quiet location, a few minutes walk to the bay, ideal for that early morning swim!

Dog friendly and sunny garden too. Everything we needed for a week away. Responsive and friendly owners (thank you for the help guys!).

The only thing that I found was hose pipe broken on the connector ,apart from that.

Everything else in the property was OK thanks for a great stay.

Great location and lovely house. The only issue we could find fault with was the TV . Signal was poor at times . We had a leak from the toilet during our stay which was dealt with very quickly. We all certainly had a lovely holiday and will be back to Rockpools soon. Thank you.

This is the 2nd time staying at rockpool as it’s in a great location just round the corner from the harbour and not to far for the town , it’s a great little house very clean and comfortable and well equipped the area has so much to see and do if your wanting to explore, I would recommend this special little property.

Good location to access town and walking routes.

Property had all that we needed for the week. We took our dog so the stair gate that is installed ensured he did not venture upstairs. The property was in a quiet area, so virtually silent at night. A parking space was a bonus. The beds and duvets were adequate, but I am comparing this to our bedding at home which is the best.Overall it was a great holiday. The weather was better than we could have expected in February, dry all week but very cold winds. We walked every day, and the range of wildlife in the nearby nature reserves was impressive, if that interests you. We will return in the future.

Lovely accommodation and nice touch with welcome pack, milk, tea, coffee, jam and biscuits.

Very cosy, great for a winter break. Would recommend to family and friends.

We had such a lovely stay at Rockpools.

The house is beautiful and in the perfect place to be able to explore Portland and Weymouth easily. Bridget and Alan went out of their way to sort the dishwasher which was broken, sourcing and fitting a new one on the second day of our holiday which was really appreciated.

The property was good with a lovely back garden.

Situated very close to town so ideal to explore Weymouth or visit the fort. My main complaint was that the rubbish bin under the sink was left full and overflowing. Also the dishwasher had been used but left for us to empty. I would still recommend this property to others

A lovely property with everything one needs in a home from home holiday stay.

It is fantastically situated to access all local amenities; green area for a quick dog walk, beach, shops, harbour, Weymouth town and only a short walk away from the lesser known (but idyllic) sandy beach of Castle Cove. We could not fault anything about this property and would 100% recommend a stay here. Thank you for the little gift basket that was provided on our arrival - tea, coffee, biscuits, jam, sparkling drink - it was much appreciated after our journey down. We shall certainly use Rockpools again for future visits to Weymouth. Rachael & Richard

A great house in a great location.

The beds were Comfortable and everywhere nicely decorated with everything you need and with lots of little extras that make a difference to your stay. Games, books, extra dishwasher tablets, washing powder, kitchen roll, hand soap things you normally have to go out and buy. I was a little worried by the fact that dogs were allowed but there was no sign that any had been there. Garden was great. Very small thing could do with some new pegs. Will definitely stay again if we come back.

Rockpools is a lovely property, spotlessly clean and with everything you need.

The location was perfect for us and our two little dogs, exercise area close by and some lovely walks. The garden was a sun trap when it did show its face, we visited lots of cafes and places to eat all within walking distance, as was the town and beach. I think you would be cramped with four adults as the lounge area is quite small and the two armchairs are not that comfy.

This was our third year in a row for hiring this particular property.

The location for our requirements with the dog(Bella) is excellent. Easy access to Newton's Cove & Nothe Gardens, town centre & beach within 10 minute walk. Shops bars restaurants all close by would suggest checking out Sandsfoot Castle beach usually quiet this time of the year lovely for the dog also. House is well kept clean & tidy located in a quiet Cul-de-sac. Just one thing we would like to suggest is that the changing of the chairs in the lounge wouldn't go a miss, the couch is comfortable but the chairs aren't. The previous two years the chairs were comfy. Overall we both think that you can't go wrong with hiring this house, yes probably will be back next year around the same time(November) quiet easy to access wherever you want to go..

Absolutely love this house It's so clean and kept well One small niggle the neighbours don't like dogs and they make sure you know about it Crashing banging doors making our dogs bark But apart from this we had a fabulous holiday

Beds comfy and overall house was clean and tidy.

A good location to walk down into Weymouth. Not so good were the following. The two beige chairs in the lounge were too big, low, soft and uncomfy, need replacing. Bin under sink was found smelly and a bit dirty. Four light bulbs in the lounge were broken and the clock in the kitchen stopped working on Wednesday morning. The shower screens, bathroom titles and ceiling needs a good deep clean as black mold around. No anti slip mat for the slippery shower tray. Main things was heating we found was turned off at the boiler. Noisy neighbours, to the left of house from the front, disruptive one night from 1am to 2.30am, then an ambulance was called. Obviously the neighbour situation is beyond owners control but sadly it would put us off using Rockpools holiday house again.

Excellent cottage that completely suited our needs.

Really good location for beaches, dog walks and town centre. Lovely dog friendly garden and everything we needed was provided for us. We will definitely return

Lovely two-bedroom house within a five-minute walk of the harbour area of Weymouth.

All facilities were available as listed. We really enjoyed our stay with our dog, who took advantage of the dog area on Weymouth beach which is available all-year-round. Highly recommended.

A bigger TV and some dishwasher tablets would have been helpful.

But we very much enjoyed our stay, its well situated and very comfortable!

We had a great week staying at Rockpools, a very comfortable cottage with everything we needed, had a couple of issues but these were delt with in very quick time.

The weather was fantastic and a great position with everything close at hand, will definitely consider booking again sometime in the future…

Excellent location beautiful house garden is lovely only thing was the shingle my pups love to chew it lol we have had a wonderful week here and can’t wait until August to come back one tiny little comment furniture could be changed bit low But apart from this the owners have a beautiful holiday home we are definitely booking again for next year and the welcome pack is a very nice gesture We are just sad that we had to come home

This property is ideally situated to get to most places.

5 min walk to the harbour, then over the bridge and into town and the beach in another 5 minutes. The cliff tops are also a short walk away with stunning views. The property was modern, clean, with all the facilities needed for a holiday. I have used Sykes before and will continue to use them. I thoroughly recommend Sykes and their cottages for an enjoyable holiday. Lovely weather enhanced the holiday even more.

Lovely property in a great location, we have rented many properties in and around Brewers Quay over the years and this is up there with the better ones however , we did look at re booking for next Christmas but note that the price for a week has increased by £470 so , needless to say we will not be re booking this property, which is a shame.

This was the second year we've had this property & it didn't disappoint like last year.

As we bring our dog (Bella) with us it's in the perfect location. The property is well looked after clean & tidy. The property is within easy walking distance to access the town & beach or explore the Nothe gardens plus coastal pathways out towards Portland. Comfort was only marked down as we didn't find the mattress very comfy; we fully understand though that you can't cater for everyone in this department.

Excellent lovely cottage everything's you could ask for Very quiet saw no one walk from doorstep lot of places to eat round harbour.

Excellent property one of the best we have stayed in considering we have used you for 11 year’s Beautiful welcome pack we never get any where else cleanliness is spot on only problem bathroom door handle needs attention it’s very stiff and could break at anytime and someone could get stuck in there All we say is roll on may 23 for our next stay Thank you to the owners of Rockpools beautiful house

Excellent location, Having a car park space is wonderful.

Only two of us stayed in the 2 bed terraced. Way too small for 4 people. The rear garden needs attention, It clearly has been neglected for a while. All in All, because of the property’s location, we would stay at Rockpools again. Overall 8/10.

The parking was easy.

Lots of walks from the property to shops and beach. Plenty of things to see and do without using the car. Comfortable bed. Steps on garen path were a bit slippery when wet. Very nice holiday.We did like the complimentary biscuits that was left with the welcome pack.

We have visited this cottage regularly over the years and as always we have been pleased with the accommodation provided and its cleanliness.

The only improvement that could be made would be to sort out the lack of television and radio stations that seem to be available on the current television.

Small but well equipped and of course good location

We had a lovely stay at Rockpools, it’s in a great location.

The house is really comfortable, the bathroom is lovely, my only criticism would be it would be great to have a extra small towel each to use for our hair when showering.

we love to stay at Rockpools as per our yearly bookings.

A hand towel for each of us would be appreciated and a few more mugs for when we use the dishwasher.

great location.clean and tidy.only one point would perfer a slip matt on the shower has we are a bit older than some people found it a bit slippery.

We were disappointed that there was a lot of dust about on many surfaces in the bedrooms and the living room.

The beds were very comfortable and the facilities are excellent, particularly the bathroom. The location is ideal as it is within walking distance of the town centre where there are many shops and restaurants. Just one suggestion - we bought fresh fish from Weyfish by the harbour but we couldn’t find a fish slice in the kitchen and the frying pan is so warped that it doesn’t sit flat on the hob.

We had a lovely stay, the property is well equipped & is the perfect size for two adults but can accommodate another two people.

The proximity to everything was perfect for us. We would walk to the harbour & main beach every day with the dogs, around 30 mins steady walk passing Nothe Fort on route. The sea is literally around the corner from the property. The walk that leads from there was beautiful and great if you like taking photos. Perfect location. We would happily stay there again.

Cottages in the Maltings are a great base, Rockpools superb.

My only gripe is since Sykes Cottages took over tbe independent Dream Cottages the prices have rocketed.

A really comfortable house and in a perfect location.

We didn’t need to use the car at all. We’ve stayed here before, so knew what to expect and again really enjoyed our stay. Had a great time and hopefully will be back again next year !

It was reassuring to have an abundance of cleaning materials available to use during our stay too. Very well equipped property in a great location.

Superb location, just a short stroll from the harbour with all its amenities.

House was spotlesly clean, well furnished and warm, an ideal retreat after a day out in the February weather! Welcome pack with milk, jam, coffee, hot chocolate and chocolates was appreciated along with cleaning supplies. We Thoroughly enjoyed our week here with the dog and hope to return later in the year.

Was like home from home, had everything we needed.

Fantastic location.

Brewers Quay and harbour just a few minutes walk. Also just a few minutes walk to a lovely dog exercise area with a fantastic view over towards Portland and Newtons Cove. My little dog loved it. Everyone was so friendly and we were really lucky with the weather it was red hot !! The house was really well equipped and very clean and with everything you could possibly need. Would definitely recommend and would love to return.
