Kingfisher Cottage

Great location in a lovely quiet area but only a few minutes walk to the gorgeous harbour with lots of restaurants and pubs to choose from.

The cottage was very well equipped, the beds really comfortable, lots of wardrobe space in the main bedroom, and it had everything we needed. It was great having the outdoor decking area especially as the weather was amazing! The living room isnt very spacious, it was ok for 3 adults but it might have felt a bit cramped if there'd been 4 of us. Overall a really place to stay!

This was the third year we have stayed in the Kingfisher cottage and again it did not disappoint,clean throughout all that you need for a great holiday

Two things:- One - the garden front and back needs a little tidy up.

Two - this criticism was to do with the Council - THEY HAD NOT AND DID NOT COLLECT THE RE-CYCLING. THE BIN WAS RAMMED FULL AND OVERFLOWING - NOT A GOOD IMAGE BECAUSE ITS WHERE YOU HAVE TO PARK YOUR CAR. NEEDS SORTING IF GUESTS NEED TO MOVE THE BINS THEY NEED TO BE TOLD - the info book doesnt say so.

Clean and well maintained with everything you could want for your stay,comfy bed,and large couch,also short walk to town centre and harbour area

Property easy to find.

Close to coastal path and harbour, easy walk. Inside the property comfortable, Beds very comfortable probably the most comfortable I've had in most accomodations I used for a good while. I don't sleep well so the bed is important. Good decorative order and colours very pleasant and relaxing. Good having downstairs facility. For a two bed house well thought out to have conservatory to dine in. The garden gate being lockable was good for our needs. My husband generally shares room with my son and I share the twin room with our daughter or we would need 3 bedrooms. Cleanliness could be improved, the drawers in bedroom need cleaning. Generally good overall. We were not blessed with great weather for half the week but then it was great. We visited lots of places and met interesting people. My favourite trip was in the RIB to Durdle Dor and Lulworth cove. Spectacular views. I enjoyed Weymouth and would visit again in the future. Dorset is beautiful county.

Very clean, excellent instructions for all the appliances/labelling etc. Enjoyed all the artwork and nick-nacks around the place. Well equipped kitchen. We appreciated the large amount of crockery/cutlery etc so we could go through the day using all the different bits without having to keep rinsing a limited supply. Then we could make use of the dishwasher to do a full load. We enjoyed eating our meals in the conservatory and also finding all the different ways to get to town through alleyways and roads - the shortest being a flat 5mins to the harbourside. Thanks for a great break.

A nice cottage in a very quiet area of Weymouth, if you are looking for peace and quiet on your holiday this is the cottage for you , very clean and comfortable

Kingfisher cottage is such a warm comfortable cosy cottage.

It feels better than home. The location is amazing. It's so good we've bought next door. True.

It was our first time in Weymouth and we enjoyed it, I would highly recommend it.

Kingfisher Cottage is a lovely house, the conservatory made for a really nice place to sit, eat and drink late into the evening.

It's in a great location, close to the harbour and the sea, with only a very short walk to Newton's cove, with a sea path to the Nothe gardens.

On first arriving we thought it was lovely, when we went to put our food away there was no room in any cupboard, so had to be left on counter.

Water was still in dispenser in fridge, far too much crockery etc, would rather had some room for food. Found bed uncomfortable too hard, rowels were nice and soft. Windowsill in main bedroom dusty. Conservatory could do with blinds down sides as not very private from joining homes. We also had to clean garden furniture before we used it, so not impressed. Also have never been anywhere that has so much that you have to do before you leave, cleaning, put bins out etc. Almost felt like you had to leave clean for the next people so minimal done by letting agency/owner.

Superb cottage immaculately presented in a fantastic location.

Handy for the town and well equipped with comfortable beds.

Lighting in lounge poor. Upstairs toilet seat too small and uncomfortable and bath could do with a grab rail. Staff at Dream Cottages helpful over a wash basin issue

Great property ideal location few minutes walk into town very quiet at night like being home from home everything you needed ideal for having parking at rear of property definitely would return

We found the cottage very comfortable clean and ideally situated, the only fault is that in the kitchen there was no cupboard space to put any food, but we will be booking the cottage for next year, the out side space was ideal

Lovely place good location would have been helpful if there was a few cleaning sprays and toilet cleaner.

It does have 2 bedrooms but think you would struggle with four people as living room small but for us 2 it was fine had a great holiday

Everything was perfect, clean, comfortable, quiet, wonderful stay.

We have just returned from a week at Kingfisher cottage.

The property was clean, cosy and homely and had everything we needed. The bed was really comfortable and there were plenty of hangers to hang all of our clothes. The location was perfect, being just a short walk from the harbour. We loved our stay here and wouldn't hesitate to book this cottage again.

Great location, very clean and comfortable.

We had a lovely break thank you. Well equipped. My only suggestions would be to consider providing bin bags and perhaps some basics eg. Salt and pepper. It would also be nice to have somewhere to store food. We also mentioned to dream cottages about the wooden bar over the gate: this either needs to be removed or a mind your head sign/padding installed as my husband hit his head on it. However these are minor points and the cottage is overall great.

It didn't matter to us but it is very unlikely one could park 2 cars to the rear of the cottage.

Very central cottage and easy to walk to the main areas of Weymouth.

Clean, modern and good instructions for all the appliances. I would definitely recommend it to friends and would be happy to use it again. it added to our enjoyment of the holiday.

What a wonderful stay!

! We couldn’t have asked for a better week weather wise and the house was just perfect. A lovely, quiet area and parking is a bonus. Just a short walk into Brewers Quay for the harbour and a further ten mins over the bridge and into town. The house was so clean and the furnishings made it very homely. Beds were really comfortable and plenty of towels left. Fully equipped for all our cooking needs and it was lovely to use the conservatory and garden in the nicer weather. It’s a real sun trap out there in the afternoons! Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Well appointed and comfortable and plenty of cutlery and crockery which is always useful. Would recommend as close enough to amenities but in a quiet area.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Kingfisher Cottage.

It is beautifully decorated and well maintained. The owners have literally thought of everything, including cushions for the outdoor patio furniture, beach windbreaker and buckets and spades. The cottage is in the perfect location and the two car parking spaces at the rear of the property are absolutely priceless in Weymouth. We shall look forward to staying there again. Very clean and comfortable.

Ideal size for a family of four. The area is very quiet and only 2min walk to the coastal path with lovely views out to sea. The house has everything you need if you need to cook and even in October the conservatory was warm enough to eat in. The house was also warm and rarely needed the heating on. Beds were very comfy and we were provided with plenty of towels. Park at the back of the house and walk through the back gate into the house for unloading the car. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Weymouth.

Enjoyed our stay at Kingfisher Cottage enormously and will definitely stay there again.

We could not find any fault with it at all even the weather was grea.. it was our first holiday since 2019 because of Covid and it was splendid

A lovely week away

We were very impressed with Kingfisher Cottage and can only make 2 minor observations.

It would be helpful if a small hand towel was left in downstairs toilet. Also, one day we had difficulty with key box outside front door with keys inside We informed Dream Cottages who did fix the problem which appeared to be the large back door key was too large for the box and was jamming it closed. I would suggest that only front door key was left in box. But overall we enjoyed our holiday even though it was cut short by 1 day due to rail strike.

Warm cosy everything you need for your stay .

Cottage was clean and comfortable.

Everything we needed was there. We had a very enjoyable break and would be happy to book this cottage again in the future. We would also like to thank the Dream Cottages team who promptly sorted out a couple of issues that we had.

We Really enjoyed our stay the house had everything you could need.

The location was brilliant just a five minute walk from the harbour bars and restaurants but very quite for sleeping. Had a problem with the radiator in the living room but they sent someone to fix it the next day. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back in the summer and make use of the garden.

The house is amazing, just what you need for a very enjoyable holiday.

The only down side was the kitchen it is so well stocked with everything you could possibly need it leaves very little cupboard space to put food if you want to cook. The big fridge freezer has a very useful water cooler built in which came in very useful on the very hot week we had. The decked area out the back makes a great place to sit of an evening and chill as the sun goes down. The house is well placed with a short stroll down to the harbour and the town with its amazing beach just 10 minutes further.

Firstly we filled the water dispenser in the fridge only to find it leaked.

Then, the upstairs toilet seat was very broken and there was a plunger for the bathroom sink as it wouldn't drain away. Although we fixed this before leaving. Also in the kitchen and conservatory some of the wooden flooring doesn't meet well, trapping your feet if not careful. Lovely house but in need of some tlc

Cracking position for wandering into the ample facilities of Weymouth. On the South coast way for walkers. 2 minutes to town, 2 minutes to sea( plenty of fishing). Only thing it hasn't got is a view

A lovely cottage with almost everything you could wish for.

Nice decor and spotlessly clean. 2 minor things, it would be nice to have 2 sets of keys for convenience during the week and the sofa isn’t as comfortable as it looks We really enjoyed our stay - just a pity you can’t organise the weather as well!

The cottage is an a quiet residential area with parking.

It really exceeded our expectation. The kitchen is very well equipped and the dining room opens up into a nice little terrace. Rooms upstairs are nicely decorated. We were impressed as it was all very clean. You can find info on the accommodation and area (restaurants/what to visit) in a folder in the living room. We really enjoyed our staying and we would go back.

Really nice trip away in Weymouth.

House isn't huge but perfect for the 4 of us for 5 days, would stay again :)

We had to ring the office as there was a problem with the heating but after speaking to Lisa she arranged for a plumber to come out that day & it was soon sorted out.

She phoned me back after he had been to make sure everything was sorted. It was excellent service from her.

My only one small issue was that the bathroom mirrors in both bathrooms were too high on the wall .

We couldn’t see in them at all . They’ve obviously been put put up by a tall person . We have had a fabulous week otherwise. A lovely cosy house with everything you could want . Thank you ! Location was excellent. We love Weymouth and the Jurassic coast .

Kitchen was completely sparse.

No basic food essentials like oil or salt+pepper. Dishware was very cheap and fragile. Couch was the most comfortable thing on the property.

Everything very comfortable and cosy.

Outside had plenty of seating. Easy walking distance for town centre and sea front. Would have rated Sykes higher if we had more contact with you. No reply to my emails or telephone calls - no personal contact - very disappointing.
